  1. Gary, I haven't heard out of Mill City in years . I remember the body. The reason, a friend of mine was restoring a 1-1 1936 Ford for my old partner whom I owned a wrecker service with here . Ed Shaver
  2. That "period" Analog cellphone kicks ass !!!!!! Ed Shaver
  3. A M T Needs to re-issue one of these van kits simply to satisfy my urges to re create my custom Van accessories I manufactured in Houston 1975-83.............. Sadly , Vanning had to die an agonizing death. It's fighting back though . Check out Vannin.com Ed Shaver
  4. Joe, I'm at the Goodwill center here in RichmondVirginia all the time . I've yet to see model kits though. I however have bought plastic tubing and a lot of great scratchbuilding supplies . Then too, if ya go through pants the way I do , check out the clothing bins too. Ed Shaver
  5. I'ts an interesting piece............. Ed Shaver
  6. Hey Tom, I received a 1-25th scale 1957 Chevrolet Panel Delivery that Spec Cast did for a company called Jet . It was a nice job and I plan to modify it into a contractors truck at some future time . Ed Shaver
  7. Hummmmmmmmm, Phosoric acid anyone ? Ed Shaver
  8. Decs, first I aint no "Master " heck , jus build what I can still see. My eye sight has been getting pogressively worse since 2001............ Ed Shaver
  9. I had to agree with what Danno said ............. I still wont buy one though. Ed Shaver
  10. Dec, uh who makes such a truck , Italri ? Meanwhile , a fine job as usual sir ! Ed Shaver
  11. In 1966, M P C actually offered a Shwinn "Sting- Ray " bycicle on the Chrome tree with their 1929 Model A Woody/ Truck kit . This was subsquently re- released as part of the M P C - A M T buy out in the eighties and ninties. A similar bike was then offered by A M T in their 1965 Buick Riveria "Low- rider " in about 1999. I wasn't aware of other bikes .......... Ed Shaver
  12. Greg, you would be amazed as to how much stuff actually is called one thing and will interchange in the two scales . Ed Shaver
  13. I bet few here remember the origional 1964 rendition of the Mustang by A M T . This was a Hardtopor a convertable in one box. By the way, a few shops were taking Hardtop Mustangs of that vintage and making convertables out of them . Ed Shaver
  14. Brewster Green, nice choice for such a hauler ! Ed Shaver
  15. After looking at Greg's pictures, I beleive this will be an exremely good seller for the Revell line-up. I was very impresed by the level of detail within the Ford 60 horse ... Ed Shaver
  16. Then too, factor in messed up boxes , missing parts , and of coursethe sour economy. Look , anint nothin thats collectable brining "Top Dollar " these days . I'm in the service station business and I can tell ya , don't expect to make a killin , get rich or send yer kids to college ....... Oh good luck . Ed Shaver
  17. Dave , I found a copy of the Peterson Publishing Company - Custom Car Yearbook #1 several years back. You really nailed that one dead on ! You get the four hubcap award today .....Ed Shaver
  18. James, I saw the disposable L.E. D.flashlights at a Big Lots for a dollar . I sugest we all bring one to the next R A M S meeting as mabye then , MABYE we MIGHT be able to see models that folks have brought in. I figgure Martins dosent want us to see how much our food is costing us as we consume it in their dimly lit Tourture Chamber ........... Ed Shaver
  19. Im stepping on toes here probably but any I M C kit was hard to build . There were two kits in my opinion that were almost builable , The Little Red Wagon and Mabye , (UH SCUSE ME Mr. Obsessive Bill ) and then kinda the 48 Fords . As for the Volkswagen, the Ford GTs................ whew.......... that was a loooooooong time ago as in 1966. I don't wish to re-live 1966 anymore Ed Shaver
  20. Gee, someone took a sows ear and really did make a silk purse ! Outstanding workmanship sir ! Ed Shaver
  21. Shane, as much as I seem to off on I P M S 's misgivings , I can say this about the club, they always have out of the box . In fact, it's the ONE THING they do WELL! I won an out of box for a 1960 Ford F-100 from S M P . Oh to you younger folks , they were a small competing company that was bought by A M T .You have to use whats in the box , period . Theres no room to gaudy up the piece with Photo- etch, resin and other more modern pieces . Oh , it won O O B in Norfolk Virginia at the T A M S contest .... Ed Shaver
  22. James, considering you need a U S Passport to come to yer show and the time it takes for a Government official to issue same , Heck I might be able to say make a deadline of Next May!Ed Shaver
  23. Howdy !!!!!!!!!!

  24. I have to agree with the comments made concerning the 33 Chevrolet and the Wild dream . Isaw a couple of 58 Lincon convertables, built a good 50 yrs ago last Saturday. The two were in a box with a 59 Mercury Convertable . They were 55.00 apiece ............... Ed Shaver
  25. Robert, thank you for the input ! I've been curious about both of these kits as I have seen both in our one "real Hobby shop" here . Ed Shaver
