  1. looks very nice i have a backdraft myself but am thinking of changing over to a downdraft, just because i always seem to be spraying at the very front of the booth as for lights, the top of my booth is flakeboard with a square hole cut into it the hole is just as big as the light fixture from my old aqarium and it has a larger sheet of clear plastic screwed underneath it
  2. i think he build the frame that had gotten BMFed to the clear glass part so the whole thing will pop out when he's ready to paint the body
  3. great idea now, when you say VW powered would that include a plymouth duster with a audi R8 drivetrain? just wondering
  4. not a mustang fan here but it sounds to me that a little strip of half round styrene (just as thick as the hood is) run across the front of it should do the trick or maybe just scribing it and then running a strip of BMF over it as mentioned
  5. highlite the bottom of my post and you'll see i was just kidding when i asked about the camaro but its all good someday you should try your hand on scratchbuilding an actual frame an dropping one of these ricer bodies over a nice detroit muscle drivetrain
  6. even better i am actually building a model of a datsun truck that came with a 350 which i booted in favor of a 440 myself
  7. you don't waste any time do you son ? that looks great what does it have in the rear, the mopar rear end or did you mate it to the mazda parts? (somehow i dont see that holding up) it would be nice if you could touch up the stripe on the bottom corner where its missing a bit, but if thats all i can think off so, whats up with the camaro next to it? (just kidding)
  8. i like the idea on the stepside (this will have a stepside ford bed on it) maybe i could fade the paneling a bit to make it looks like it was actually applied in the mid 70s what else have we got ?
  9. 383 as in stroker attempt at trying to make some power out of the 350 or 383 as in awesome sleeper engine found in many of ma mopars finest? (if the answer is B then i'd love to see some pics )
  10. what happened man? these look WAY too plane-jane for you
  11. photoetched treadpatern? you mean snowchains? (on a sidenote, did you see i actually finished the hotwheels build?)
  12. talk about whitewall well guys, ive started my build, got the frame where i want it to be and i've got the bed in primer the cab will be assembled before paint, the bed after so...i am ready to take suggestions on paint for this baby its a mid to late 70s truck so i am willing to entertain thoughts of every era since then as long as its not fruity keep in mind this belongs to some real men who hunt, fish and ride dirtbikes prefferadly at the same time and whilest drinking PBR so...whatcha got ? (pictures are encouraged)
  13. and does it have a 350 in in?
  14. maybe they are aware of our average build time and figured if they realese it in the spring it wll be ready for actice duty in the winter....of 2014
  15. looks great i am actually planning on buying a tow/plow truck in a few years, when my boy is 4 or 5 so that we can hit the road before school in the winter and help some people out seems like a great way to teach him some responsibility, servantude and just plain spend some time with him right now he doesnt care much for it yet, earlier today we were out cruizing and we stopped to help pull a ricer out of the ditch, there was allready a cruiser and another guy there so we just lifted it up and set it back on the road took a whole 3 minutes but by the time i got back to the car my boy had fallen asleep best part of the whole ordeal, when the kid rolled down his window to thank everyone before pulling out the cop told him "just find a parking lot and learn how to drive in the snow"
  16. i have a 1/16 street charger on pre-order at my LHS i wonder when they will call me
  17. on a side note, i actually have a "decoy" kit for my son who is almost 2 the decoy consists of a old model box with a ford mustang in it the mustang was a completed model that fell at one point and then body came off the chassis, aswell as one wheel there are also some old trees and just little tidbits in there whenever i sit down and build a kit the decoy comes out for my boy to play with this way he feels like hes building just like daddy and i dont have to worry about him tearing up a build i actually care about
  18. adding it to my "to watch" list August, thats a nice looking camaro, but the tires are on backwards
  19. mhhh very interesting ill have to give it proper thought
  20. hey those looks nice if you ever need someone to "test" those feel free to send me a set...or 3 or 4
  21. i stopped in at meijer and they had a sign up on thier model kit display "all christmas merchandise 50% off" so i tossed 3 models in my car the chevelle 3n1 streetburner series the 60s impala 2n1 california wheels series and a audi R8 performance car serier at a whopping $7.49 a piece even if i end up trading these i'll make out like a bandit
  22. allright guys , thanks for all the input i ended up ordering a S-video to RCA cable that should let me connect the laptop to the TV
  23. its been a while since i heard that name i know they were a big deal back home but kinda in the same way as spyker was, it was something you dreamed off and was proud that it was sculpted from the same klay as you but you never entertained the thought of owning it because of the price tag still, gorgeous car
  24. allright, my laptop does have a VGA output (my old laptop actually has a S-video output) BUT my TV only has a coaxial input aswell as the red/white/yellow ones (RCA?) if i just get a cable that converts between the two we should be allright ?
