  1. allright guys i got started on the new interceptor today i got the trunk opened, got some junk together and found the perfect rim/tires selection i also got started on the frame and the engine still looking for some extra parts for it though
  2. 38 degrees celcius? shoot, i'd settle for 38 degrees farenheit we had to shovel out through a foot of snow here its times like these i remember how thankfull i am for the charger, that car is unstopable
  3. shes the youngest of 4 and had bought the van from her dad
  4. nahhhh, that'll buff out great job
  5. when we first got married the wifey had a caravan with a V6 in it that thing was not slow at all and with both rear seats removed its a miracle we only have on kid
  6. maybe i need to see it with some paint on it Tom, i guess if we're going with a colour like green, or light blue (the same colour you'd expect on a 56 ford victoria) it might work
  7. musta done the 6.1 HEMI swap...did you try and race him to find out ?
  8. i remember watching the RTL rally report one day cant remember the rally anymore but there was a treacherous S curve on guy in (i believe) a corolla entered the first turn to fast and flew off the road, landing upside down in a ditch only 45 seconds later his teammate came by and did the same thing, funniest part, he landed less then 10 feet from his teammate ALSO upside down
  9. speaking of phone humor...this happened several years ago we had just moved into a new house in a new city and we'd hooked up are landline with a new number well, as everyone knows the phonecompany recycles phone numbers and the number we got must have belonged to a person who had some issues paying his bills on time because we had debt collectors call at least once a week well, the first dozen times or so i tried explaning the cituation and that they had the wrong guy but they just kept calling i got so sick of it that everytime the called for this guy (or anyone else who didnt live there) i would tell them they couldnt come to the phone because they were passed out drunk in the back yard one faithfull day i was going about my buisness when the phone rang i awnsered the call and there was a guy looking for Melissa i'd never heard of her so i gave my standard reply, she can't come to the phone because she's passed out drunk in the back yard there was a slight pause and then in a furious voice the caller yelled at me: YOU LET MY 14 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER GET DRUNK??? i dont think i ever ended a phonecall that quickly lol
  10. very nice cant wait to see the rest of your dads photoalbum come to life
  11. i like where its going, but i dont think those wheels are where its at
  12. the model i posted is over grey primer
  13. good point (except for the performance ) so i decided on the 70 chevelle i pulled the 545 and found a SBC 350 to drop in it instead (im still looking for some parts which i put up for wanted in the wanted section) i guess the build has started...just what i needed, more projects
  14. cant tell you bout the testors, but model master spraybomb (1970/70 M3) looks more like furious fuschia to me
  15. not a grandpa but with my son turning 2 this valentines day all i can say is :monkey see monkey do my boy loves sitting with me while i build models i even have a box with an old build up that is falling apart for him to play with and what not best way to turn the little ones on to anything is to show them how much you enjoy doins it
  16. i think anyone who put thier lives in harms way to protect people who dont even know them (this includes our local law enforcements) should make enough not to loose that same life due to lack of nutrition as for what goes on on miliraty campaigns, its a dirty job and someone needs to do it but i do believe no cop should put themselves above the law they are sworn to uphold and no member of the armed forces should deprive men from the freedoms they are defending (i am not talking about those labeled the enemy, just those civilians living in the area) but seeing how i never served and have no real knowledge of how these things are, these are just my thoughs
  17. been going through my stash and im thinking iether a 69 442 or a 70 chevelle the engine in the 442 is WAY to nice for a build like this so if i go with that i will drop in the 350 from my datsun pick'm'up truck i thought about dropping a real engine in (a 440 or a hemi) but we must keep gas mileage in the back of our mind too (maybe a slant6?) i dont know, whats you guy's take on this?
  18. im gathering parts for this build BUT i cant say ive started it yet...too much on my plate
  19. diymirage

    68 Camaro.

looks great it may just be the best looking engine i ever saw in a chevy model
  20. as great as the special forces may be i have to to thank every member of our armed forces who voluntarily enlisted to do what what i dont want to do so i dont have to do it
  21. great as always, cant even find any constructive critisism on this one
  22. here is one i did (still need to finish up the exhausts, but otherwise done) shot before i installed the stock engine, this is one from a civic, to power the rear wheels and here it is at the strip even with 2 engines and AWD it cant hang with the 'cuda
  23. looks great but IMHO the wheels kill it there is no way those itty bitty spokes would handle the power of a hemi
  24. i for one am glad to see these in the "under glass" section now for a while they were popping up in the general area, that bugged me
  25. It almost has to be red...I mean..it is a versatile right? Somehow im picturing it in butterscotch though
