  1. yeehaw
  2. almost embarred to show it but here is the potched up paint job i did on the coronet the passenger side came out allright (other then being upside down) but the driver side was beyond repair so its going into the pond and im going to do this the other way around, first lay down the black and then try to decal the red
  3. that looks good the paint almost reminds me of a model i painted with nail polish once now, the real question is....when are you going to build "her" model ?
  4. that engine looks great the reason i asked for the build options is because i was thinking it might be a repop of the old 74 GTX wich had some real nice chrome parts and a roll bar carry on
  5. why are you making Dutch plates? is there something i should know ?
  6. well guys, i sprayed the bottom a few days ago, the top today and just pulled the tape off and off came half the paint around it looks like this one is headded for the purple pond and im heading back to the drawing board
  7. sorry, i meant they dont look good on muscle cars
  8. to be honoust, thats probably a good thing, his wheels are not very good looking...specially since he has a tendancy to put too large a rims on cars and 19 inches just dont look good on pre 2000 cars
  9. looks like your off to a good start there, and i also like the weathering on the chassis on a side not though....isnt this a 74 ? and are ther any options in the kit?
  10. those chevelle wheels do look spot on good find guys Bill, im sure i have an extra set of redline decals from the 69 charger laying around shoot me a PM if you want them. Aaron, have you tried ebay ? there is always something on there
  11. hey, thats a good start Jairus those boards look good to me (not sure if they look right to 1:1s, ive only played with the ones equiped with sails before) but they look good compared to the hotwheel and that is what we're going for heres a quick mockup of mine, this is how the rideheight will be with the narrowed rear end it really shows off the rims i found, their porsche rollers that came with a VW bug streetrod
  12. im not a moderator but i would like to add that the "swap trade free" section is for offering up parts that you are willing to swap, trade or let go for free im pretty sure anytime you are in need of something it goes in the "wanted" section
  13. hate to tell you this but my first choice for the bumpers would be chrome second would be flat black to break a little from the rest of the car but not too much i would also suggest painting the hoodlouvers flat black
  14. i've always been a fan of the airgrabber hood, it will look sweet on here and since were showing of or 71's...here is one i build a while ago (not sure what kit it was since i got it without a box but it was older then the reissue your using and came with buckets and a 440)
  15. if you do decide no to fix the suspension so the wheels wil sit in there normal you should really consider building a model of a monstertruck to park on top of that...its the only way i can see this camber looking good having said that...its your build and you should build it however you want to
  16. i'd like to know how you get the panel lines to not show in the clear coar when ever i do a 2 or more tone paint job i can never get it flush, you know what i mean?
  17. why is there a colostomy bag attached to the firewall great looking detail, i like it
  18. i had a little look at the GTX today and i noticed something...with the wider rear tires im not going to clear the rear fenders so i will be narrowing the rear axle this will move the tires in so the body will clear and it will move the springs in so that they will sit on top of the frame rails rather then besides them...should be about a 4 inch lift but i can live with that
  19. 43? im still 5 years and 3 finished models removed from that
  20. nice Jairus, i like that one way bestester then the rootbeer coloured one almost feel like the rims are sportier aswell looks like you glued in the front windshield frame ? im planning on doing the same with mine, dont see the need to open it
  21. let us know what you decide Jim and ill ad you to the list Andrew, thats a nice start, hopefully you get to finish it someday as for my build, i got about 20 minutes into it when i asked the wifey if she thought the keystone klassics looked good and she awnsered, not really she said she thought she had seen some better matching rims in my partsbox somewhere (i musta asked her opion on them before) so i told her to look for them sure enough she found a set of porsche rollers that came with a VW street machine bug she did tell me to loose the pink on them (the VW was molded in pink and i hadnt bothered to paint the wheelbacks yet) so now it will roll on porsche rims oh, and the body is in primer and the hemi is mostly put together
  22. apart from the corvette i wanna say i have seen these models before right ?
  23. i thought the 383 was the smallest engine you could get in a 70 'cuda ?
  24. both rides look great having never seen the movie i dont get the guy in the back of the elki but its cool im not a big fan of the blue mufflers but if thats the worst thing i can think off....
  25. love the engine hate the wheel looks like it will be an interesting ride once its done
