  1. we can add a 71 plum crazy pruple charger to my list
  2. anyone who goes on strike should be fired. if you arent decent enough to do your job and work out the details with your boss without it causing your job performance to suffer then as far as im concerned your not fit to work
  3. i've found the best way to put dents in any car is to let the wife drive it but in all seriousness, get yourself a lighter and heat up the plastic where the dents should be then get another car (or a blunt object of your choice) and press it into the heated area to create the dents
  4. when i used to live out in lowell my path would quite often cross with a muircielago oh, and ive seen a few deloreans recently
  5. i seen an olds 442 this morning, and 2 chevelles yesterday the 442 looked great but the chevelles i saw in front of what we call the ghetto meijers and needless to say they rolled on rediculous rims with the rubber band tires some people should not be allowed to drive anything other then a honda
  6. thanks Ron everything is so much simpler in styrene...not too mention affordable if im not mistaken, revell made a 1/25 tourbus
  7. welcome aboard gotta say, i just LOVE that duster let me know if your ever looking to unload it as for the frame, i dont even think i have ever seen this car before, looks like a great project though
  8. you know, there is a kit out there called "open road camper/racers wedge" it has the type of camper that sits in the back of a pickup truck though i understand scratchbuilding is cool i just thought id toss it out there...just in case you wanna cut some corners
  9. well, the boys put in a full days worth of wrenching today they managed to get thier hands on some nice interior parts from cousin mell's old mobile home, he lost it in the divorce and told the boys to take out everything they could before....well....i cant tell yall what he called the ex but long story short, he didnt want her to have none of it so the boys took of with the seats (the table folds down to make it into a bed) the stove/oven and even the kitchen sink (just in case they take it out fishing) heres the progress they made so far as you can tell, i chopped of the tail end of the interior tub and made a styrene divider between the cab and the bed at first i was planning on installing the rear glass and just painting over it but this looks better (IMHO) since it leaves me with a sqaure wall and it frees up a few scale feet for the kitchen i figured since im not bothering to put an engine in here i might aswell get rid of the hump to free up room for the sink) the cabinet in the far corner of the kitchen was trimmed down quite a bit and i made a new top for it i havent decided yet on how im going to build the back of the cabinet...or if im even going to) i also did a little more work to the front end...pretty soon we'll be ready for paint, then all thats left will be rolling stock
  10. im torn between the torques and the halibrands i still feel the halibrands look more "buisnessy" but the torques are the perfect compliment to the paint as far as im concerned your good iether way
  11. thanks Joe, PM sent
  12. well, it seems im not sticking to the sketch this kit has kinda fallen behind but i just got some great parts in on a trade for some decals (in an unrelated trade i also got the glass in for the cab) so, the table and seats will stay where they were in the sketch but the bed will be deleted (im not going to build it into the model but if you've ever been in a travel trailer you know the table folds down into a bed) im also going to chop off a little bit from the cab (making it come straight down rather then the smooth line it has right now) hopefully this will give me a little more room for the kitchen section if all goes well ill have some picture up before the weekend is over
  13. i need to pick up four of these (unless someone would like to mail me 4 of em) to make the bass ports on a subwoofer far a build im gathering parts for
  14. im almost certain i have the for why block in my stash shoot me a PM and we'll work out a trade
  15. see if you can spot my fan motors in this picture
  16. nah, i just figured i hit it just right...the only two body parts that were damaged were the front bumper and the hood, both front fenders didnt have a scratch funniest part is, the car i hit didnt look anywhere near as bad...a little VW golf funny thing, ever since i started driving VW they've been fine, the last one i owned i actually got to trade in that was the first time that ever happened
  17. hey gregg, nohting happens when i click on 2000 i tried fixing it... like this 2000 but thats only about 50 or so
  18. i had a hyundai tiburon at one point, it was a 2003 model and i did the 2005 front end conversion it was a great car that did well with a peppy 2.0 twincam the only thing it didnt do very well was handle impact, i totalled it going less then 30 MPH...not even hard enough to set off the airbags i still miss that car (great chick magnet) before the bumperswap after the bumperswap after the crash
  19. the best place to find parts for this truck would probably the modified stockers car hauler kit its a 53 ford with custom fenders, headlight options and even a dodge desoto firedome engine (here is mine with some custom touches, rims and stacks are dodge, the rest is all kit provided)
  20. i used boxes i found at my job, they used to have computer boards in them they were the size of shoeboxes so i could fit 3 models in there and they had a pad of the "eggcrate" foam on the bottom and top if you can find something similar your good
  21. if im not mistaking my awnser to this question was a 15 dollar home depot brush...the same one i used when i got back in the hobby and for the very reasons you mentioned here plus, the investment is very duable for even a young kid (ill send it over next time someone inquires)
  22. i want to say you can get a set of those rims in the revell 32 ford (it comes with waterslide whitewalls) it may also be a good start for the engine which seems to be a 3 carb flattie?
  23. reminds me of the adventures of a young modeler on here who went through what your describing the main thing he did "wrong" was painting trim with silver paint and a wide brush it took several of us to bring this to his attention, there was a little fuzz and in the end he got convinced to give BMF a try and now he's a better builder because of it im sure looking back he's gratefull for it but at the time he was less then apreciative
  24. for those of us who dont know the duce some pics might help aswell as some info on the engine ?
