  6. welkom aboard Cory now, are you from the good part or the bad part of belgium? at any rate, you got some real nice looking models there
  7. any paint can be glossed up by diluting it with the right thinner (i know this is only an option when you aribrush it on but i just thought i'd throw it out there)
  8. i want to say i read somehwere on here that the intend is to do a run of the streetcharger before turning the molds back into the Petty car (which i guess it was to begin with) though i could be wrong
  9. thats a nice little fleet you got there (specially since there are some cars in there you dont see too often) gla to hear the badge got there allright too
  10. im confused, the background seems blue (like the decals in a kit) but i can see white in the hotwheels decal what gives ? your not printing white are ya? and on a unrelated note, why no background? (i print decals on white and clear paper with a white background instead of transparant without problems)
  11. on a grille i would use a wash personally i use acrylic black paint that is watered down to just a bit thicker then milk
  12. i have no clue on what it could be...could i buy a vowel please?
  13. thanks for the replies guys i guess i will make sure the paper will be set to the maximum thickness
  14. i use a similair type of wire for all sorts of stuff just the other day i was scratchbuilding an exhaust and i needed to mate a piece of sprue to some 1/8th styrene tubing and i drilled a hole in the sprue and supergleud the wire in there then i supergleud the wire in the tubing and put some testors on the joint these twisty ties would work great for that
  15. ohana means family these are all levels of envolvement with the forum you start as a looker then, when you have a certain amount of point you become a friend then an avid poster and finaly, ohana, family, one of us (watch lilo and stich as reference material)
  16. Jim, Rob, thanks for the tips this is my first weathered paintjob and i did feel like it all came off a bit harsh so tomorrow i will try the rubbing alcohol and sand down underneath that bungee cord
  17. rusty chevrolet by the yuupers
  18. now if only revell would come up with a contest where we could enter mopars and we'd be all set
  19. got a little bit of work done on the monte i primered the body then applied some paint and did my first try of the "salt/baking soda" method ill do some more fine detailing and weathering later but heres a sneak peak (the bungee cord is the little band that goes on the nametag you put on your baggage when you fly, painted red with a sharpie and the hooks are regular wire)
  20. as many as i have kept and not scavenged for parts ? maybe about 20
  21. slapped some paint on her yesterday (also did a ton of little detail work and the exhaust is drying as we speak) paint on the body is rust-oleum classic white over grey primer i wasnt sure when i bought this paint, it almost looked to yellow in the store but once it dried on the body it looked perfectly like what i had in mind as usual, i didnt check the tachometer for windshield clearance when i installed it so this will be the last you'll see of that tach in this build
  22. sorry, i dont have any caddy parts most of my partsbox engines are 440s and hemis i may have a ford Y in there but thats about it
