  16. We went last year, our second trip out there, had a great time. Went to the Pawn Stars pawn shop, a hole that is made to look good on TV. Counts Customs was kinda neat, his collection of cars was open to viewing, the aquarium on the north end of town was nice and the old strip down on Fremont was fun. Haven't been out to Rick's Restorations, but seems like that would be fun, as he seems to be the most down to earth of the TV "stars" on the shows there.
  17. The radial rod concept is cool to look at but from a practical stand point doesn't have a chance of working. Those engine were designed to be in 100 plus mph wind streams to keep cool, I just can't see how it would last, cruising down the blvd with that cab in front of it, in stop and go traffic. The engines used in tanks had massive cooling systems to keep it from cooking. I probably take things too literally, since these are fantasy rods anyway. Never mind.

  23. On page 4, at the bottom of the page, Dick Oreck is credited with the builds and their origins are listed. Go to the Model Encyclopedia site and look at the Dec 63 article on Oreck, it's amazing, he was casting his own parts using silicone molds, turning parts on a lathe and lacing his front wire wheels in '63.
