  1. Looks like they're all made to a constant 6" long, so they all scale out differently. Have to work out what each one scales out to. Would put the Mustang around 1/32 scale, the Raptor around 1/38...
  2. We still have a few, but they're going fast. http://www.megahobby.com/autotransporttrailer25revell.aspx I wouldn't be surprised if they only did one batch and when they're gone they discontinue it, but I haven't seen anything official from Revell saying they're discontinued yet. I also wouldn't be surprised if Tower just resurrected an old listing for it and forgot to change the old status. I do stuff like that as part of my job at Mega
  3. I wish I could build 50's customs like Steve Boutte, but I don't have the talent or the deep parts box that he does, so I stick to replica stock. Maybe one day I'll have it. It is inspiring to think I'll be there one day.
  4. Mine is full of air bubbles and trash in the resin. Not happy..
  5. That's the thing for me, I get the same-old same-old feeling with most of the Foose stuff proposed, because it is so much like the Boyd stuff (makes sense since Foose worked for him). I just don't know that billet rods are where it's at in 2015. The move in the 1:1 and model worlds the past few years has been away from the billet and towards more traditional stuff Even with all the body mods of the 56 pickup, there's still a lot you could do with it. With just a change in wheels and different interior color scheme it could pass for fairly traditional I just see this as having the most potential. I'd love to be proven wrong, cause that would mean I have a couple hot-selling model kits on my hands, but I just don't get a good feeling from any of this stuff except that truck. Not to mention that pickups sell pretty well when the manufacturers get around to actually making them. The Moebius Fords have outsold every other kit for us just in preorders, can't wait to see how they sell when we actually get them.
  6. I've sold 7, most were the first 2 days I had it listed and have sold none since April. That's not knocking down the doors to get at it. It's not doing well.
  7. You'll note that Testors no longer makes any model kits, so I don't know if those are the best examples to use to prove your point. If they had done well then Testors might still be selling kits, and folks aren't knocking down the doors to get at that Lindberg reissue.
  8. The Vantastic was just reissued by Lindberg/Round 2. And why are these in a thread about Foose kits? Do you just like confusing people?
  9. That's a pretty pissy attitude to take with folks that are trying to help you out.
  10. I have one of their midget sheets that has engine turned gold-leaf numbers. They're awesome.
  11. Yeah, TS-51 over Gunmetal looks good, the middle spoon in that first pic. I might be remembering it darker than it really is, I just remember it being too dark for a Moto GP bike Tamiya recommended it in the instructions of.
  12. That's the Acapulco Blue on the left and TS-19 on the right (or top if it flips my pic). TS-19 or TS-50 would probably be closer over a dark base like black or gunmetal, these are on white. TS-51 Is a bit darker than -19/50 but still very blue I thought I had a can, I know I've used it before. Scratch that, I think TS-51 over Gunmetal might be the way to go in Tamiya after checking out that link above.
  13. TS-51 you mean? Too dark, too blue. TS-19 is probably the closest in Tamiya. I dug out a can and sprayed a test, it's very similar to TS-50. Similar in shade, just a bit too vivid for Guardsman Blue.
  14. I don't understand the question. It was done in the 90's when Lindberg was putting out very nice kits. So far it's the only one of these Lindberg kits Round 2 has put out with new box art but I would expect more to come as they're nice kits. The only fully new-tool car kits Round 2 has done since they came into existence are the Polar Lights 66 Batmobile and MPC SNAP General Lee
  15. Please use the Vector wheels! They look so right on these crazy vettes.
  16. Actually Model Master Lacquer Ford Acapulco Blue is very, very close, just tested it out. Getting even better as it dries. They could label it as Guardsman Blue and I doubt anyone would complain. Tamiya TS-50 is too vivid. That's the only Tamiya medium met blue I have handy.
  17. I have a chip of Guardsman Blue, and it's very subdued like a steely blue. I think Tamiya and Model Master lacquers are all too vivid a blue.
  18. Yeah, maybe we do that at some point. We could probably do Revell and Monogram some time in the future, too. I was just putting this together because a few members ask whether reissues are annuals or new-tools, and it was something I wanted to know for myself.
  19. Thanks, everybody! Been updating as we go along. Adding the Lindberg 90's stuff, too since that's now also Round 2 and is of a similar vintage and quality.
  20. Looks like voting has started - https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ZXD73RJ
  21. Don't quote me on this, but I believe HL and the other big chains buy closeouts and overruns. When a new kit is hot and selling, there's no overruns to sell them. That's also how they can sell them at 40%-50% off and still make money....
  22. What about the 67 Chevelle? Was it all new, or just the pro street chassis new?
  23. I thought the 67 Cyclone was an older kit. Did it get updated with the Fairlane chassis?
  24. That would explain why I didn't see them listed under 1966. Thanks!
