  1. Thanks everyone for the comments.
  2. Next up, Revells 1979 Charger. Testors Green Go Lacquer and Ultra Gloss Clear. Will have a Black interior. Kit has nice Redline tires but will keep them for another build.
  3. Just completed my 71 Duster. Built as if it came from Mr. Norms back in 1971. Six Pack intake, Cragar SS wheels, Goodyear Polyglas tires. Surf Blue paint that matches my daily driver 09 Challenger.
  4. Just completed. See in under glass section.
  5. Model of my 09 Challenger and my brothers 72 Nova. I built a Plum Crazy Challenger for my wife.
  6. Here's a few Super Stocks
  7. Interior completed
  8. What would you like to see?
  9. Was doing some cleaning/dusting and thought I'd share a picture. Don't have alot of room so need to stack them up. My "covid" builds are not included yet. I've got 6 more cases for them to stack up in the corner. The rest of them are boxed up and in storage in my brothers basement.
  10. Thought I would take a break from Nascar Stock Cars and build a Mopar. Had the Amt 71 Duster in the stash so. Thought maybe 5 seconds on color and knee that I wanted to use Surf Blue that is the color of my 2009 Challenger I drive everyday. Had a can of lacquer in my supplies. Primed, sprayed and clear coated. Then I use Mother Synthetic Wax to polish it up a little. Wanted the Mr. Norm look so I am using the kit supplied Six Pack and a set of Cragar Mags with kit pad printed tires.
  11. Any updates on the rear end treatments?
  12. Just completed my 1991 Daytona 500 winning Kodak Lumina driven by Ernie Irvan. Started with a Harry Gant Mac Tools Lumina kit. Tamiya Camel Yellow over Tamiya Gray Primer. Mixture of Monogram Kodak Oldsmobile decals and Slixx 1994 Sterling Marlin decals. Not perfect but will look good on my shelf of Daytona 500 winners.
  13. Just completed my 1990 Earnhardt Winston Cup Championship Lumina. Started with the original Monogram Goodwrench Lumina kit. Powerslide decals, Tamiya Black and clear on the body. Calypso Coral Red (Poppy Red) from Scalefinishes on the inside.
  14. Working on decals. Went pretty good. Hope they stick. Laid the red stripe last night and did the rest tonight. Had one red strike start to come off tonight, so I applied some MicroSet. Even had my little girl do her first decal, had to straighten it out for her.
  15. I had read somewhere that Earnhardt's Goodwrench cars started out as Poppy Red. Had a bottle of Scalefinishes Calypso Coral, that I had heard was the same as Poppy Red, and airbrushed the rollcage. Awfully bright and shiny. Would like to tone the glossy down some but afraid to mess it up.
  16. Sprayed Tamiya Black and then taped and sprayed Tamiya Silver Leaf. Had I looked at the Powerslide decals first, I would have painted the Silver first. Luckily it doesn't look like I have any bleed through into the Black.
  17. Just completed my 1989 Rusty Wallace Winston Cup Championship Kodiak Pontiac Grand Prix. Always liked the look of this car. Peak Antifreeze Pontiac, Testors White Lacquer, Powerslide decals, Pledge Floor Gloss. Everyone seems to be building his 2+2 from 1987 so I thought I'd build the 1989 car.
  18. Getting closer. Had one spoiler painted black but didn't fit the curve of the deck lid properly. Had to dig another one out, need to paint it.
  19. Working on prepping and body for another Championship car. Starting with a Dale Earnhardt Goodwrench Lumina kit. Purchased Powerslide decals. Working on front fenders alittle. From what I can tell in pictures it appears that the fenders should flow into the bumper cover better than the kit has molded. Slung alittle Tamiya Putty and sanded and primed.
  20. My newest victim. Peak Antifreeze Pontiac kit, Powerslide decals, Testors White Lacquer. No problems this go around with decals like my last 2 builds. No clear as of yet, debating on trying Pledge Floor Gloss on this and see what it does for me since it didn't go correctly the first time I used it
  21. Wow look great
  22. Finally finished. Had issues with this along the way. Tamiya Italian Red, Testors White, Tamiya Clear. Powerslide decals. The decals wouldn't stick, had issues with the pinstripe decals not laying down around the the top of the nose. Thought I would try the Pledge (Future) Gloss Clear to see if that would seal the decals. First time using it. Sides look great but the hood, roof and decklid didn't layout correctly. Windshield didn't want to fit , got another one and that was almost to small for the opening. Calling this done. Not fully happy with it.
  23. Had issues with he decals not sticking, not sure why. I thought I would try using Pledge as a clearcoat to seal decals. First time using it. Not 100% sold on it. Sides look great but the top surfaces, (truck lid, roof and hood) didn't go so good. Ypu can see in last picture of the hood that it didn't lay out smooth. Not sure if it was me or what. Going to finish it up and call it done later today.
  24. I have a model that the decals don't want to stick to well. Do you think that a coat of Future would help? They seem to lay down and seem alright but some of them a day later doesn't seem to have any glue on them. I go back and apply some MicroSet and they appear to lay back down. What Future do you guys use?
