  1. Looks amazing. Great job. Love these Moebius kits
  2. Wow love these old Mopars. Looks amazing
  3. Hope they got the grilles straightened out. I remember back in the late 80's early 90's when they first brought this and the Talladega out, that they had the wrong grille in the 2nd run of the Torino. They had the Talladega grille which was to small for the Torino opening. I had a couple that never got built because of the wrong grille.
  4. Wow. Bet that stands out nicely on the shelf
  5. Great job. Looks amazing as usual.
  6. If I remember correctly, (I was only around 12 then) Hoosier was trying to get into the sport and alot of the times had a better tire but Goodyear with it's long standing with Nascar prevailed. Nascar finally required tire manufacturers to have enough tires at the track for all teams and Hoosier Hoosier couldn't compete at that level. I some teams ran and some didn't. I like when you see a car with Goodyear on the front fender but the car ran Hoosier during the race. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
  7. Original Tide Monte Carlo kit with Powerslide decals. Tamiya Floursecent Orange, Testors Classic White.
  8. Started dealing. Man I've had a time with the pin stripes. Needed to cut to fit around quarter windows. Not sure if it's my tape line or the decals. At least Mike supplied some extra pin stripe pieces that I can patch them. Need to take a break

  12. Another DW car I've got in the works as well.
  13. Weather was good the past couple of days so, I decided to get another another championship car started. I noticed that in 85 it appears the cars didn't have the lower valance on the nose so, I trimmed that off. Primed, painted and cleared. Tires have been decaled and dull coated. Will be using Powerslide decals.
  14. That is what I used. When I sprayed the yellow I pay much attention to the separation line and just fogged the yellow back where the blue went. Taped and sprayed the blue. Now I will say, that I went back and tried to repeat the chassis after sanding some scratches out where injector pins were and the 2nd coat did wrinkle up the 1st coat some. Maybe I was just lucky on the body I don't since this was the first time using this paint
  15. Just posted outdoor pictures in Nascar Showroom
  16. Just completed my 1988 Daytona 500 Winner driven by Bobby Allison. Started with the Monogram Quaker State Buick, molded in Green. I tried to make the windshield and rear window to be flush fit. Tamiya Gold and Testors White with Powerslide decals.
  17. Completed . Will get outside when the sun is out here.
  18. I temporarily placed the windows in from the inside like the kit comes and marked the opening on the windows. I then filed them down to fit the opening. Glued some plastic strip on the inside of the body to hold them in. Taped up the windows to protect them and laid them in place to add a little putty to have a smooth transition where needed from windows to roof.sanded flush removed the windows and painted body.
  19. Flush fit rear window could be a little better but, will do.
  20. Looks great. Have one of these to build as well. Gotta' love the 60's Mopar stock and super stocks
  21. Flush fit windshield. Not to bad. Got the rear window taped in to dry.
  22. Looks great. Just completed mine caswell. Always liked this scheme better than the other Miller schemes

  25. After completing my 1983 Winston Cup Championship car, I dug through my stash and found this one. Thought i might as well work on this one. Started as Quaker State Buick. Primed and painted with Tamiya Gold, Testors Gloss White. Powerslide decals and then Cleared the body. Found a white chassis to paint res and will use the green molded chassis for a black chassis instead of trying to prime and paint it red. I didn't like how the windows go in from the inside since the real cars had flush mount by this time so I worked on the opens and windows to get them to fit flush. Time will tell if it will work properly.
