  1. Just completed my Foose 1956 FD100 pickuo. I sanded the Foose lettering off the tailgate. Placed an order from Scalefiniahes for some House of Kolor Tangelo Laqcuer. Cleared with Tamiya Clear. Handpainted the bed floor for a wood look. Interior and engine is Radome Tan. Orange plug wire from detail box.
  2. Looks promising. I will be following your build. I love these trucks. Wish somebody would bring a kit out of the Power Wagon.
  3. Got it finished last night. Outdoor pictures coming in the Under Section later today.
  4. Got the interior completed. Really not much to this kit. Testors Randome Tan with Clear Bark embossing powder for carpeting.
  5. Got some touch up to do but more progress today. Got the engine painted and mounted. Took a little page out of Dave Kindig's book and painted the engine to match the interior. Looking for something different, kinda like it. Had some Orange plug wire in my stash and had just enough.
  6. Made a little progress tonight on my truck. Got it cleared last week, started painting interior. Detailed the bed floor tonight
  7. Not yet. I was finishing up my 67 Nickey Camaro and was letting the paint dry good on this. It's in the queue to finish up. Sometimes I don't get much time to work on models with life with 2 kids 10 and under, a wife that works 8-13 hours a day at the local post office and what little work I have. I'm itching to work on it though.
  8. Thanks for the comments. I've had this painted for over a year and decided it was finally time to finish it.
  9. Just completed my Revell 1967 Nickey Camaro. Painted with Scale Finishes Emerald Turquoise enamel paint inside and out. Tamiya Semi-gloss clear on interior, Model Master Gloss clear lacquer. Amt Part Pak Redbone tires.
  10. Looking great. Here's a photo of one I just seen last month at the NSRA East Show in York, PA
  11. Been thinking about getting this kit out to start. Wanted something different than Black although the truck does look good in Black. Decided on how I wanted to paint it but wasn't sure how to get what I wanted. Placed an order to ScaleFinishes and commenced to painting. Started with Rustoleum 2x white primer and then Scalefinishes HOK Tangelo and some clear. Was worried with different paint lines reacting with one another. So far, so good. These pictures were prior to clear.
  12. Just completed my 1981 STP Buick driven by Richard Petty to his 7th and final Daytona 500 victory. Testors Big Bad Blue with Tamiya Fluorescent Red with a light coat of Tamiya Fluorescent Orange over the Red. Had issues with the windshield and quarter not fitting well. Finally ripped it apart and worked on the dash top to get the windshield to fit properly.
  13. Wow I love it. Looks great!
  14. Thanks. Actually I cut the kit pipes off and replaced with aluminum tubing.
  15. Continuing my Daytona 500 Winner builds, I just completed my 1983 winning car as driven by Cale Yarborough. Testors White Laqcuer with Tamiya TS-12 Orange with Future as a clear coat. This is the first one I have ever built using the in-car camera and trunk mounted antenna
  16. Is there a good white automotive primer spray can to use under HOK Paints? I am looking at ordering some HOK paint but I know they tend to be hotter and will potentially etch the plastic and need a good base. About all I can find in my area is Grey primer. Use to be able to get a white primer in spray can but I haven't seen it in a few years now. Looking at purchasing HOK for the airbrush, the primer can be airbrush or spray can. Anybody got any suggestions?
  17. Continuing my builds of Nascar Championship cars, this is my 1992 Winston Cup Championship winning Thunderbird driven by the late Alan Kulwicki. Started with a Mark Martin Valvoline Thunderbird kit and Hooters Powerslide decals. I cut exhaust pipes off and used aluminum tubing. Testors White Laqcuer with Tamiya TS12 Orange.
  18. Finished decaling this evening finally. Not 100% with MY decal job but it don't look too bad. Some of the small associate sponsors low I'm not sure about but it will do. The hood decal could have been slid down a little as well. The passenger side 7 could have been slid back a little to allow more room for the fender sponsors.
  19. Looks great. I have that kit been thinking about getting it out but more so now. Thanks for sharing it.
  20. Continuing my Championship builds, I thought I'd get out Alan's Hooter Underbird to build. Started with a Valvoline Thunderbird kit, worked on the nose seem, sanded down the bumper returns on the quarter panels, filled the recess body line thru the doors since pictures I've found showed those items were not there. Testors Classic White Laqcuer and Tamiya TS-12 Orange, coat of Tamiya Clear. Glued the chassis together and just used Tamiya Gray Primer with a coat of Tamiya Semi Gloss clear. Powerslide tire decals, Testors Dullcoat on tires.
