  1. Got the spring/rocker assembly attached today. Also got the wheels finished and the "colour" base down for the shell.
  2. Getting back to working on this.
  3. A bit more work on the heads.
  4. A few of the faces have been rattached. They may be detail painted later. Thanks for looking in guys.
  5. Bit more. I have always like the paint scheme on this car, one of my all ome favs. However, it has been done to death in the model world. Fact is I am building it from a salvaged kit I got off evil bay I figured why not do something a bit different for the pant scheme. Given the popularity of the Walking Dead and Zomies I thought why not add in some creepiness to this build. :47:
  6. Some minor assembly completed and the wiring started.
  7. Disks need to be touched up. Lots of detail painting still required and of course the wheels and shell. This is the first kit I actually followed all the paint colours called out in the instructions. Some of the colours didn't seem quiet right so I took creative liberty and adjusted accordingly. The PE bits and the Zero paint I will be using are courteous of Imster, thanks Imster. As for the body. Ever since I first saw this kit in a shop back in '93 I thought if I ever build it I want to take a crack at painting the white dotted lines. So, that is what I will be doing. Wish me luck.
  8. Spent a few hours doing some more cleaning of the old parts, drilling out broken locator pins and adding new ones. I also figured I would try adding some bolts heads here and there. No idea how they will look once done or even if they will be seen at all.
  9. The body has been prepped for paint and some PE bits added. I am toying with the idea of changing the paint colours, instead of the green and orange, I might do purple and orange. And instead of the white dotted lines I am trying to figure out how to do them in Chrome.
  10. Hope you guys don't mind the multiple post. The kit was missing a few parts, lucky for me I have another kit with part off trees so I just made molds and cast what I needed.
  11. This is a kit I got off EvilBay for 10$. It had been started and painted the wrong colour. I soaked in Easy-Off for the past few days. It was then scrubbed, I took apart what I could. It won't be painted the traditional livery of this car, this kit has been don to death. Given this is a salvage rescue it's the perfect kit to play with.
  12. A few more coats of Candy Blue, I think I am going to stop here.
  13. A number of Candy Blue coats.
  14. A couple more colour steps, clear coat and a good polish. These colours are really hard to photograph.
  15. Hi guys, haven't been here too much, sorry. Been following a few of the builds going on though. Well not having much luck with the paint on this. Perhaps I am just being to picky, what ever either way this it the direction I am going now. Slapping this one out. How ever it turns out this time is how it will remain. At least one more colour stage and some more treatments and I will call it done. Thanks for looking in.

Thanks Edward. I have the 3m vinyl tape in my tool bag. I use that it some times but I find the Tamiya tape cut down works great. Thank you HO. I have the deluxe kit as well, the detail photos will come in handy for sure. I was't aware there was a pre-painted body available. Perfect maybe and over the top word for this but I do appreciate the kind word just the same thank you looking in, cheers. ?
