  1. Cool, two thumbs up.
  2. Thanks Dan. Anytime, just send me the bodies. I get the watch parts off evilbay. Search watch parts, I actually need to order more.
  3. Lol, fitting.
  4. A little more progress tonight. I used dry transfer glue to hold the watch parts in place, it sets up very tacky. Thanks for looking in. %5Burl=https://servimg.com/view/18362912/621]
  5. Thanks Steve.
  6. A small bit of progress tonight. Got the pin stripping for the panels laid out and the poly sealer coat done. Still working out the panel treatments and colours. I will be working watch gears into the paint pattern somewhere. I am still working on how to do super tight turns with this stuff, wish they made vinyl mask this narrow.
  7. China, via evilbay.
  8. A bit of progress today. More to come in a few hour, fingers crossed. Thanks for checking out my WIP.
  9. Great looking mods, very intrigued to see how this is going to look when you're done.
  10. Thanks Steve. Rob, thanks for the interest and comments. I should have clarified, sorry. Major fail with the previous paint work and change of direction with paint colours/design. I understand the confusion. It was result of a trial and error of the liquid latex mask technique I was attempting. It ended up getting stripped off. What you see in my last post is where I am now, yet another change of direction in design and colour.
  11. Ah man sorry to hear about the snag with the hinge Martin. Nothing wrong with the doors being displayed open. I'll be watching this closely.
  12. I just picked up one of these myself. I will be following with interest on how you make out with this, it looks to be a pretty good kit. Best of luck with the build.
  13. I messed around a bit tonight, I decided to get on with this redo and just letting the paint fall where it does. Not my most creative design or even colour choices to date. No idea where this is going to end up in a few days, there will be some lace and maybe some decals who knows. :17: :18:
  14. Spaz Stix can also be masked without fear of damaging the finish. Best chrome paint on the market short of the expernsive auto application multi step stuff. It actually looks closer to a traditional Nickle plating finish then chrome.
  15. Killer build, that thing would sound awesome ripping down a glass smooth lake at dusk.
  16. Interesting project, there was a patical kit listed on evilbay recently. This is going to be fun to watch, best of luck.
  17. Very nice weathering work, great looking build. You are not alone in the transitioning from auto to Military building, many a builder has made the switch. I have a good friend who was an avid auto builder (hundreds of completed builds) who now seems to only build military and mini dio projects. Perhaps it is the freedom and creativity one has with all the weathering and derailing options.
  18. Wow, that looks like it was fun to build, very original.
  19. I've been using Spaz Sitx Ultra Chrome for close to 10yrs. Awesome stuff, it is much easier to get great results then the other "chrome" paints, can be handled and taped without fear of tarnishing the finish. It also works great for creating a black chrome finish when sprayed over acrylic black.
  20. Great looking lowrider, I dig the look of the grey/black, nice work on the BMF.
  21. No worries Martin. I have never done hinged doors before but I have cut out and scribed panel. I appreciate the info and heads up, thanks.
  22. Real nice start Martin, good luck with the rest of the door progress. I am debating doing this as well. With the open truck it lends itself to some elaborate plumbing of the pumps.
  23. Sharp looking paint TJ, the entire build is really well done.
  24. Lov the Pegasus wheels.
