  1. Hi Dan! Thanks man. No, I had other priorities that came up. Will shoot for the Ajax one if you and anyone else I can meet up with plan on going. That's the only reason I'd be interested in going.
  2. Black Tamiya Acrylic, sealed with 3prt poly. Next will be Spaz Stix Chrome. Then a pearlescent fade of three to four colours topped with a holographic clear.
  3. j Lots of BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH in the paint. Totally forgot to clean/vacuum the booth. Meh, nothing wetsanding and clear coat can't fix. Well that didn't go so well. I'll give it another go once I get it stripped. Finally decided to go with a Monarc butter fly inspired design. The colours seem fitting given it's Autum and Halloween is on the way. The base colour, Zero Florecent Orange, over Zero paint Gulf Orange. I messed around a bit today. I added on some watch bits as stencils, looks like I need to come up with a better method of attaching them. I used tiny bits of blue tac. I didn't put too much effort into a solution in to how to attach them as they are only be an under lay. They will be covered with a black lace transfer. I think if I were to use them as a detail feature I might attach them with fish glue then remove it with water when it was time to remove them. 3hrs in total to apply all the latex. Tried the lace transfers for the first time. They have some great potential.
  4. What a great bit of custom building/mods going on here. This is looking really great, I really dig the lines of this.
  5. Thanks Rob, I appreciate the info and concern. Seems to be in line with Acetone, Lacquer thinner, and polyurethane reducer. I have a couple of super strong/efficient exhausts fan that are running anytime I mess with any of this stuff.
  6. Looking good, keep it going.

  10. Small update, sorry it's not much of an update. Base coat of white primer down. Next will be Arctic Pearl White (nail polish) then the real fun begins.
  11. Good luck Rob. I picked up some MEK today. I want to try the liquid plastic/filler method. No idea what ratio to use, just going to wing it.
