  1. WOW! That looks great, Mike. I am curious though, how do you propose to re-insert the core support? Charlie Larkin
  2. What an outstanding build, especially for a first-time. Simply beautiful work. Charlie Larkin
  3. As Ron said earlier, the Fury I/II/III designations didn't start until 1965. Jo-Han made a 1964 Belvedere 2-door hardtop, and that could could be converted into a Fury without too much trouble. The Richard Petty race version is the most commonly available, and you'll have quite a bit of work to do to make it street-stock, but it can be done. Lindberg also offers a Belvedere 2-door hardtop that's a nice kit. The Savoy/Belvedere/(Sport) Fury were all the same chassis, so you can use this without concern. Charlie Larkin
  4. Nice work on both counts. Charlie Larkin
  5. Great job on this. I love that maroon. Such a nice change from fire engine red and black. Charlie Larkin
  6. Very cool, Bob. Looks stock until you try to take it on. Do you have interior pictures? Charlie Larkin
  7. Nice job on that, Tony, and it is definitely something very different. I like it. Charlie Larkin
  8. Nice work, Hertsi. It's nice to see a '57 in something besides a bright, loud, annoying color, too. Charlie Larkin
  9. Nice project, Curt. For a decent Y-block, check out the AMT '56/'57 Fords. Those are the only two I can think of that have reasonable detail and are fairly easy to find. I remember reading that the engines in the first-generation Thunderbirds were a little crude, but I wouldn't want to swear to it. Charlie Larkin
  10. Sounds like some nice progress Jim. I'll look forward to some pictures when you have an opportunity to get them up. Charlie Larkin
  11. Interesting concept, Don. Nice fabrication work, too. Charlie Larkin
  12. I agree with all these points. Excellent job. Charlie Larkin
  13. Your truck is Oxford White. Dupli-Color and Ford both offer it as touch-up paints. I'd also suggest trying white primer and gray primer on scrap and seeing what you like better. Charlie Larkin
  14. Were that to happen, I suppose the only truly Supreme Court will be issuing its ruling. I would just hope it would be concentrated enough to cause no more damage. These poor people have been through far too much as it is. Charlie Larkin
  15. Always good to hear stories like this. And I'll look forward to seeing what their next release is, too. Charlie Larkin
  16. Use it in good health, as my great aunt used to say. I got a ride home in a Hyundai Azzerra once. I was very impressed. Generally, I only buy American cars, however, I would be willing to give Hyundai a serious look. They seem to have really gotten their act together. And I have to agree with Bill, that is a sharp little buggy. At least someone isn't afraid to actually style a car. Charlie Larkin
  17. As far as posting at 2:00 A.M.....could it be she was tired from the other alluded-to "activities"??? Just sayin'.... My best wishes to you both for a long and happy life together, Mat. Charlie Larkin
  18. That says it all. What a horrible, terrifying mess. We get a few tornadoes around here, but usually very small. The Worcester Tornado of 1953, with another one in Great Barrington in 1994 were the most destructive in recent memory. Another very small, but very powerful one passed through a little town called Wendell (pop. <1000,) in 2006 and felled several acres of trees. I remember that, as I was living but a few miles from it at that time. Let's hope we start hearing more good news. The Worcester Tornado is featured here. 1953 Worcester Tornado Charlie Larkin
  19. Nice so far. The exterior appears to be the Model Master Artesian Turquoise, yes? As does the lighter portion of the interior. What did you use for the inserts? Charlie Larkin
  20. Very nice work. I like that upholstery, too. Charlie Larkin
  21. Very nice work, Peter. Charlie Larkin
  22. Almost every Firebird I remember was bright red, it's nice to see the dark metallic red for a change. Coming out very nicely. Charlie Larkin
  23. Very nicely done, Janne. Charlie Larkin
  24. Very nice work, Bruce. The colors, and everything else, look great on it. Charlie Larkin
  25. Tony, Perry's Resin makes an '81 Malibu wagon. Said to be a very nice kit, and he's right up the street from you in Missauagua (I think I spelled that right.) Great looking Starliner, by the way. Charlie Larkin
