  1. I can't wonder how long it'll be until Cadillac actually does this to compete with the Lincoln Mark LT? Nice build, by the way. Charlie Larkin
  2. Very nice job, Matthew. Charlie Larkin
  3. That is one kit that's definitely on the "buy" list once I have some more money. There were two or three at Classic Plastic and those are very nice built up. This is an excellent build-up. Charlie Larkin
  4. I've never seen a Caprice in resin, Gary, although I must say that would make a very nice model if someone were to do it. I think there were some other differences with the body, though. Something in my mind says the roofline and quarter window were different. Charlie Larkin
  5. You're right, I did forget the Chevy II! Whoops! That's being fixed now. I'll add you both in for those unless you request otherwise. We're flexible here. Charlie Larkin
  6. OUCH! That's very sad news. I hope her recovery is fast and full. The Modelhaus has become a true staple of this hobby and I'm happy to see any disruption will be minimal and temporary. Charlie Larkin
  7. Interesting. Are those doors factory like that? Charlie Larkin
  8. Nice work on the base, an an interesting choice of background photo. A well-worn racer, too. Charlie Larkin
  9. Nice wheels, Ron, and that pre-decorated kit cleans up nicely. Those'll look good on the R&R 1964 Tempest wagon. Charlie Larkin
  10. Thanks for the tip, Dan. I may give that a try. Future updates will be in the Community Build Section. Charlie Larkin
  11. That really does look good. Nice work. Charlie Larkin
  12. Actually, Ed, I hadn't. The Metropolitans were built in England. However, you did make a point. I forgot one car. The Crosley. Thanks for jogging my memory. Charlie Larkin
  13. We enjoy your contributions, too, Gary. It's been a pleasure getting to know you. Charlie Larkin
  14. Given the parameters, I'm in. I just don't know with what yet. Charlie Larkin
  15. I'll be getting my film developed shortly and will ad a few more pictures. Bob S.- Cogratulations on your wins yesterday. Well-earned. Charlie Larkin
  16. How-to is right here. Welcome to the board. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12248 Charlie Larkin
  17. From all I've read and seen, this looks like a nice show. I cannot under circumstances make it this year, between a previous engagement and no budget. I'd like to come down sometime though. The one time I was in the Pittsburgh area, I enjoyed it. Where is Sharon in relation to Pitt? Fifty miles west is Ohio, south would be West Virginia. Charlie Larkin
  18. Blue Oval Resins is working on a 1988-91 LTD Crown Victoria S, which is the police/taxi version. You could probably make it into a regular civilian LTD or C.V. LX with a little work. To make the LX, you'd need either wire wheel covers or the aluminum wheels, and I can't think of any wheels that even come close to either of those. His stuff looks pretty good. I've swapped a couple of e-Mails with him, and he seems like a decent sort. http://www.blue-oval-resinworks.com/home Charlie Larkin
  19. I think all of us get into bubbles like that when we're doing things we enjoy. I've had the bubble set in while building. It's been a while, but it happens. I oftentimes have it happen while I'm reading or writing the novel I'll have published someday, or....well, with the biggest time black-hole of all. The computer! Charlie Larkin
  20. Eight months might be a little better for me, but I might be able to negotiate six. What is your one rule? Charlie Larkin
  21. The Nova itself is qualified. However, they have a lot of differences in the real cars. But, if you'd like to enter either one, go right ahead, I'd love to see it. Charlie Larkin
  22. An L-Body Charger, and the Shelby no less. A forgotten car, too. Great choice. Charlie Larkin
  23. I'm in. I have enough of them. Might be nice to actually get one or two built. Charlie Larkin
  24. Beautiful work, Ron. You build what must be some of the finest dioramas I've seen. Charlie Larkin
  25. That's more of a sports car, Matthew, although I do like them very much, they're not really in the spirit of where I was aiming to go with this particular theme. Charlie Larkin
