  1. This will be interesting. Charlie Larkin
  2. ?!??!!??? Oh, and Great work! Charlie Larkin
  3. I love Marlins. I have one of these in the basement, too. Suggestion if I may, Roger. If you go the two-tone route with the plastic, go with the white roof/trunk. Charlie Larkin
  4. Nice builds, especially the F-Series, Scout and '41 Plymouth. Charlie Larkin
  5. That is interesting. Remember, though, the price shown is starting. I know some people who are mold machinists and the price will rise very, very fast very quickly. Charlie Larkin
  6. I'm completely with both of you on this. I'd love to see many of these subjects done to new standards. I'd love to see a lot of the Jo-Han Cadillacs and AMC products re-released, too, and in the case of the Cadillacs, sized so they're scaled properly. Charlie Larkin
  7. Two-tone copper and beige would also look nice. Add in a six, and instant economy car. Charlie Larkin
  8. I'm in, just not sure with what yet. I have so many of these kits, picking one will be a challenge. Charlie Larkin
  9. Nice job, Dan. The finished model flows beautifully. Charlie Larkin
  10. This will be another interesting build. Charlie Larkin
  11. This is the result after the stripping. I may need to try some oven cleaner on it to finish the job, worst case, I'm going to try and feather it to make it smooth enough to paint over. Charlie Larkin
  12. Looking good, Mike. This is going to be a great model. Charlie Larkin
  13. Very nice work, Matt. Looks great and gives me some ideas for my 150. Charlie Larkin
  14. Very nice job on what has a reputation to be a very tough decal sheet to do. Great build. Charlie Larkin
  15. An outside picture to help show the color better would be nice, but the build is very good. Great job. Charlie Larkin
  16. Looking real good. Charlie Larkin
  17. I know the '62 had the big round taillights with the taillights in the tailfins blocked off with metal. All three years also have minor trim shuffling. Charlie Larkin
  18. A lesson learned.... Twenty-plus year-old paint doesn't like to strip. The body is about 85-90% stripped. I'm hoping to get the rest of it off later. Apparently, when I was 13, I thought it would be okay to put Dupli-Color over enamel....the enamel is stripping off just fine, but the lacquer is taking a while. Bleche-Wite is effective, but a little slow. A question...even with traces of enamel, is is it safe to re-prime with lacquer primer, or should I go grab some Testors enamel primer? I don't think the commercial enameal primers (Valspar, Krylon, etc.) are a good idea as that might be a bit hot. Charlie Larkin
  19. Put a trailer hitch on it for your tear-drop and you're self-contained for everything except a bathroom. Very cool. Charlie Larkin
  20. Looks nice, Wayne. Definitely a "go-fast for budgeteers look" to it. Charlie Larkin
  21. Very tasteful execution in both the color and the side-trim. Ford would've done well to use that as the factory treatment in 1957. What colors did you use on that? Charlie Larkin
  22. Revised statement: let's hope it's still not a no-go, but they take the time to do it right. Charlie Larkin
  23. I concur, and I distinctly feel that a lot of these kits will be bought for what sounds like an awesome Flathead to use in other builds. Charlie Larkin
  24. I do hope "indefinitely" does translate to "later," and not "never." If they had the options to build the different trim levels, and yes, I'll even spring extra for the correct photo-etch parts to be included, I'd buy a case of the things...at least. Charlie Larkin
