  1. Oh yes, I love builds like this because they remind me that even though you live a long time you will still never cease to be surprised. Very cool.
  2. These body style vehicles lend themselves really well to futuristic subject matter. Thanks for sharing.
  3. Ira, another wonderful one. I really enjoy all the little touches like the decals, etc . . . congratulations. Isn't time for a group portrait of all of your recent builds. Or perhaps I missed where you posted one of these.
  4. Pat, I like where this is headed. Keep it going.
  5. Wow, some wonderful eye candy on this page so far. KUTGW.
  6. Just a few words: LONG LIVE RUST. Well done, chap, and the effects are subtle and the details keep us viewing the model.
  7. Looks wonderful in black. Great details.
  8. I definitely plan to get my hands on a couple.
  9. Has the right look and details. Nice.
  10. Wonderful look to this build. I love these 50s style sedans.
  11. Looks good. I like it.
  12. Wonderful example. Thank you for sharing it.
  13. For me it seemed that the first year, the process of gathering was out of control. Tools, kits, supplies, and then you start organizing and you slow down over time. If you check out MICRO MARK, you will find every specialized tool you would ever need. For kits, I get mind from MODEL ROUND UP in Atlanta. They have a great variety for excellent prices. The other supplies you can easily find at your LHS but also your hardware store, etc . . .
  14. I for one love these wheels. Excellent for most builds.
  15. Yes, more importantly we'd love to know what gets your imagination going about these types of builds. A brief paragraph. Thanks.
  16. From the point of view of a builder who likes to try new things, it was building the first couple of rat rods that took me back to see what military builders in Europe were doing to weather their builds and this is how we came across a whole bunch of wonderful new techniques in painting like chipping, mapping, salting, hair spray, color modulation, etc . . . .I feel like the rat rod has been a great way to try out new techniques in order to become a better builder.
  17. The best motorcycle show that was ever on was the BIKER BUILD OFF series.
  18. LOL, Tom, I haven't seen it and I can tell you I don't like it because I don't know what "traditional" rod is.
  19. I think we are all grown up now. I am delighted this thread has lasted this long and everyone has behaved. It must be a good sign. LOL.
  20. The funny thing is that they've been thinking INSIDE the box. It's all they've seen all their lives, square, non-specific angled cars. It doesn't surprise me that this is what they came up with. Hopefully the next generation will come up with some cool Steampunk/Zombie Apocalypse ideas. LOL!
  21. Bob, I tried calling you back but you must have been building another rat! LOL. What a treat that I got to see this one in person.
  22. CRANKYHEADS, please remember to take your photographs at the highest quality setting your camera offers, and then send everything in to Harry: harrypri@att.net Thank you. We look forward to your work.
