  1. Wow, that is shiney, and I love it with those wheels. More, more, more.
  2. I built in my room, on my old homework desk. I had a couple of shelves where I lined up some of the builds. I do remember about those days that I would buy one kit at a time. Build it, then go out and get another. Nostalgia is wonderful food for the imagination and creativity. LONG LIVE STYRENE.
  3. Ron and everyone who is interested, here's the video. If you look through my video archives I have other methods of creating washes, etc . . . but I am trying the new AK-INTERACTIVE WASHES, and I really like the simplicity of mixing and application. Enjoy:
  4. Although I have a weakness for the 1950 Chevy Truck 3100, this 1954 is so GORGEOUS I could not resist wavering in my love and loyalty to it. [
  5. I just test fitted the engine on the rolling chassis and it's a tight fit but it looks good. Moving along stay tuned in for that WASHES video. Again, thanks everyone.
  6. It's called EYEGORE GIZMOLOGY MAGIC. Actually, once I set the engine in, I will see how much of that front part shows and I will add something to make it look like it's got a distributor on there. Here's the set up I was thinking about:
  7. LOL, the ignition wires lead to an invisible vein that feeds back to the distributor. LOL!
  8. Mike, this is all paint, except for the wheels, which have a black wash. The wide all inserts are painted with white primer. The tires and back wheel inserts are weathered with the airbrush by dusting/fogging a bit of sand and light gray acrylic paints, slightly diluted with distilled water so that they are transparent. Thank you for the question and comments. Thanks, D. I appreciate the comments and support. Thank you, Steve. Stay tuned in for more.
  9. With pleasure, Ron. I am using a new AK-INTERACTIVE BLACK & BROWN WASH. Enamel, but it goes on smooth. I will post pictures of the final results.
  10. I still have to wash this down to make it a bit run-in, if you know what I mean . . . it looks too brand spanking new. Nothing a few washes cannot fix . . . Note the plates used to cover the wholes of the hood brackets . . .
  11. The engine is also done . . . waiting to be added to the rolling chassis. Some old fashioned CRANKY/EYEGORE gizmolo-izing!
  12. All right, my friends, making a heck of a lot of progress today. Why? Because it is raining and hot outside. The interior is getting done . . . When I start to feel obsessive compulsive about detailing interiors, I always think of how little of it is going to be seen.
  13. Rick it's a truckload of fun. If you don't believe me ask, Donn Yost! LOL. Stay tuned in for a new round of progress pics . . .
  14. Excellent. I love it, great scene and thank you for the wonderful pics.
  15. Lots of eye candy for sure . . . thank you.
  16. Thank you, Ira. I am currently working on the engine. It's coming together nicely, I think.
  17. It's a wonderful model and you should be proud. Congratulations.
  18. HA! I've already upped the dosage. What I need are a couple of those P. Bros. sandwiches, or more Scrapple!
  19. Wonderful details you are building into this one already.
  20. Looking forward to seeing more and I can't wait to see them painted.
  21. Thanks for the kind words, Wilbert. Hopefully Doctor Cranky will be around for a good long time, shoot he just turned 50 which I hope is not that old. LOL.
  22. Thanks, Jon. They sure do. I love this kit too. It's a great one. I plan on showing it with and without the hood. I am going to come up with something to cover those hinge slots.
  23. Nice application of dust, dirt, and mud weathering.
