I confess I did not know anything about Mr. Hines before 2004 when he appeared (and captured a whole new group of fans) in MONSTER GARAGE. Since then, I have been a huge fan of the fact that he has not changed his routine for over 70 years. And, of course, the fact that he still has his trademark cigar. I've never met the man, but his work and dedication speaks volumes not only for the folks who do real cars, but for us model builders.
So I am hoping those of you who've met him or have stories about him can chime in. No doubt, he is one of the greats, so everything and anything you want to share is welcomed here.
