  1. Great thread indeed. Drew, I love the idea too. Thanks for sharing.
  2. I would not know, I have not bought a new car since (drum roll please . . . ) since 1980 when I bought a Ford Mustang and watched it over the next four years literally fall apart, one screw at a time. I have a 55 Chevrolet and a Yamaha V-Star Classic 1100, and that's good enough for me.
  3. A few years ago on another forum a youngster asked for kits (the kid had promise and he was really into the hobby) and so we sent him a few kits (he lived in another country far far away) and so the months passed and we didn't hear anything, not even a thanks. When we inquired about the kits he said he'd gotten them but that he had decided to put all his extra time into his schooling. Which is great for him. Lesson learned? Don't let your kids re-enact scenes from Platoon with Charlie Sheen. LOL. No seriously, these days I wait and ask more questions of the individual before I even consider paying for the postage or raiding my stash.
  4. Coming along very well, John. I'm looking forward to seeing how you smooth out those rear fenders. I see many great details in that trunk.
  5. My wild guess is that it has to do with market priorities and what they think is going to sell well.
  6. Excellent, perfect weathering. Great job.

Excellent model. Love the colors and the classy look you achieve with just a few right touches. Congrats.
  8. I think it's a great way to lose your mind. Over-detailing is cool when you enjoy it that much. Keep going.
  9. Wonderful results.
  10. Oh, I want to see more of this one.
  11. Ditto on what John said. The color should really make this one stand out.
  12. Justin, I will announce the time and place in due time. I just want to make sure everything arrives at the same time and in as good a shape as you can pack it.
  13. Hum . . . I like it. Can't wait to see more.
  14. Cruz, it's the reason why I always like to have a few photo-op bases close at hand. It's a good idea to have the model be the focus of the picture.
  15. Great topic. My tastes are always swinging between the rusty and the shiney.
  16. Ron Howard is in his 50s? Oh, time. TIME is NOT on anybody's side!
  17. And Aunt B? Opie hopefully will not join them too soon.
  18. Just because you haven't heard a peep out of me doesn't mean I haven't been watching over your shoulders. Many of you are building some great eye candy over the summer and we thank you for all the entertainment. But the good Doctor and EYEGORE are on vacation on a undisclosed location until August 5th.. Actually, here's a hint: AEROJET (1962-1967) . . . somewhere on CANAL C-111 . . . more soon.
  19. I grew up on the show, and still can whistle the theme song which is what I am doing right now. R.I.P.
  20. Beautiful model, and the color looks perfect on this make and year of vehicle. Congratulations.
  21. This is why people still look in old garages and barns, hoping to find the jewel someone left there.
  22. Outstanding, buddy. I love it, and the color really makes those graphics pop. Congrats.
  23. Most certainly whatever gets and holds my attention.
