  1. Model Round Up and also Coast Airbrush will have a good selection!
  2. Can't wait, Donn. Yes, let's not upset Jim, he might just burst with extra shine energy! He is a child of the Sixties, after all!
  3. Yes, that's what I'm afraid, that next time I see him he is going to be glossy and shiny and his lips will be sealed!
  4. I've actually tried to contact him a few times to get some of those amazing ALIEN stencils, but he hasn't responded. I guess he just fills orders as they come in without paying too much attention to the folks with questions.
  5. LOL, Chuck, at least being here is better than some other sites I know people visit while at work!
  6. Good to know, Ed. I am sure Houston must have a bunch of them, good ones too.
  7. HA! That would be big irony, wouldn't it?
  8. Gee, do I dare answer? LOL! I spend a lot of time on here because for me it's home. There's no other forum quite like this one with as many great builders. I live here to soak up the energy and the inspiration, which then I turn into perspiration on the bench. My attitude is you receive what you give, so I always give it my utmost attention and seriousness, plus I try to be as helpful and positive (and CONSTRUCTIVE) as it is humanly possible. EYEGORE just gets on to mark his territory on all the fire hydrants!
  9. Justin, if you can post JPEGs it will be better for me to copy them over for the next video. Thanks, and it looks good. Keep it going.
  10. All right, the paint is on:
  11. Danno, you know what I am going to say, right? REMEMBER TO BRING US BACK LOTS OF EYE CANDY!
  12. Here's another resource for all you MESH WIRE needs: http://www.twpinc.com/
  13. Randall, check this thread out: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=53570 Also, it's a fabulous idea you've posted this thread so that folks can feel free to add some links to valuable scratch-building resources: Here, I'll start by adding a couple of must-have places: http://www.evergreenscalemodels.com/ and http://www.plastruct.com/
  14. Donn, your Rusty addiction secrets are never going to be safe with me. Besides, you go over some pretty neat techniques in your DVDs! LOL! If folks only knew how much mileage you get out of using simple pastel powders. Rick, thank you for the kind words. Those of you who know me well know that the only reason why I do all of this is because I am VERY SICK with STYRENE ADDICTION! Delighted to hear INSPIRATION is a TWO WAY street! Cheers to all and thank you for your contributions. DC
  15. Thanks for the input and eye candy, Chuck. It's always great to hear from you, my friend. The work you do is AMAZING. If anyone is interested in checking out Mr. Doan's work, they can pop lots of popcorn and have a field day here: http://members.fotki.com/ChuckDoan/about/
  16. Here we go, another update: http://www.youtube.com/user/damncranky666?feature=mhee
  17. I use a small IWATA JetAir compressor and it works beautifully for all my AB needs.
  18. LONG LIVE THE TZH SQUAD, CRANKYHEADS!!! Keep the EYE CANDY COMING! Okay, I'm off to paint the SNIPER. Stay tuned in for more progress.
  19. Bret, another killer model, buddy. Amazing graphics and EYE-POP factor to this one!
  20. I've tried all sorts of airbrushes, and after so many years now, I always come back to my work horses: The Micron and the Eclipse are the best ABs in my opinion! Expensive, sure, but well worth it.
  21. I have paint here that's pretty old, but you know, if the can or jar looks old, I will test it before I paint a model. I have never had any bad surprises. I get the HOK paint in quarts, the basic colors like black and white, etc., and they've kept for years without any problems. You have to store them in an even temperature space. They should keep.
  22. Beautiful Merc, Brett. Another fine ride added to your collection. Congrats.
  23. Mike, last I heard Donn was considering building something for the TZH SQUAD. Shiny or Rusty, it's all welcomed!
  24. Welcome to all the new folks joining in the TZH SQUAD CARAVAN. I think our numbers are growing every day. Soon there will be a 100 strong CARAVAN, clearly a record breaker. Please keep your progress pictures (the best you can take) coming for the Video Updates on the Lab-RAT-ory Channel! Ten-Hut!
  25. Ken, my friend, thank YOU for putting it so plainly and simply. You are right, those are the two options. EVERYONE enters and has fun though. Best, DC
