Those of us infected with the kit-bashing decease could never have too many kits, and it is expensive, but it's also wonderful have a deep parts box.

Ray, I use chopstix I got from a friend who runs a sushi restaurant and double sided tape to hold smaller parts. You can also use a flat piece of cardboard (sturdy) and tape to hold down your parts. Or you can use blue tack and toothpics . . . or alligator clips. I use all these things to hold down small parts. For car bodies, I use the chopstix with double-sided tape method. Everyone has a different method. You'll end up using what feels right to you. Cheers, DC

Actually, that's really where the term comes from. You know you shouldn't spend that kind of money, but then you do. I feel rather guilty about 10% of the time whenever I buy a new kit, knowing chances are I won't ever build it.

Great progress. I can't wait to see you smooth out all that styrene and get it ready for primer and paint. It's always so exciting.

Jim, the reason why Ken's book is that price is that people are taking advantage of the fact that it is out of print, so they ask whatever price because they know what I know which is that Mr. Hamilton's book is THE BOOK on building automobile related dioramas. I am a happy and proud owner of a signed copy. My advice is to keep looking for it in hobby shops, etc . . . and you might just run across it one day. The other option is to contact The Strand in New York and see if they can track you a copy for a more reasonable price. Is it worth it, you bet!
