  1. Wow, great examples. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Thanks, buddy. Thanks for the kind words.
  3. Khart, thanks, I have scattered a few tutorials here and there on this forum. Let me see what I can dig up.
  4. I likes it, Tom . . . just the right amount of rust showing through.
  5. Buck, there's an article I wrote for Model Car Magazine a while back. Check it out, if you can. It will explain everything in detail. I use a combination of table salt and rock salt (Kosher salt works well too) and what you do is wet the surface. Sprinkle the salt, use a hair dryer to dry the salt, then spray your coat of paint. Good luck and post your progress. Yours, D. Cranky, Ph.D. in Salt Studies!
  6. Yes, he was well represented!
  7. Folks, I just returned from the 2010 Birmingham Classic which in my opinion turned out to be a FABULOUS show! On the way up and down highway 431, I found lots of road gold. I hope you get inspired by all this rust, junk, and gunk! Enjoy: http://public.fotki.com/vsuarez666/voodoo-customs-chop-shop/road_trip_archives/alabama-road-eye-ca/
  8. Zombies like eye candy. Where is it, folks?

  14. Ooooh, I like that SSR vehicle. Good work on it so far. Keep it going!
  15. You are making excellent progress, keep it going.
  16. So far it is looking like you have the rigth technique down. I'm seeing good results. Keep it going.
  17. LOL! That's what Revell wants us all to do!
  18. I can't wait to see more. Keep up the great, inspiring work, folks!!! More eye candy, please.
  19. It sure does, buddy. It comes with two chrome parts trees. Lots of goodies.
  20. Those look great, Ryan . . . Here's a picture a buddy on another forum posted which makes me want to dream up more possibilities with this kit:
  21. Did I say more? I can't wait to see what most of you will come up with and do with this kit!!!
  22. More more more more: My sense is that Revell is going to do well with this one. As it is I've already ordered 3 more . . .
  23. Folks, the new Revell "Limited Editon" '37 Ford kit is out, and it's a beauty. You can judge for yourself. Parts are crisp and clean . . . PURE VIRGIN STYRENE!!!
  24. I use around 15 psi when I'm up close . . . also my airbrush has an air valve on the hose I can turn down. Wait for the salt to dry and then it will have a stronger stick to it. You gotta go slow at first. Also, always practice on a throw-away body before you more on to the actual model you want to build. Trust me, you will get the hang of it after a couple of tries. Hope you post your progress so we can see . . . good luck.
