  1. Dale, Congrats!!! That thing is sick!!!! I really like all of the detail stuff you have done to it. Awesome job!!!!!!!!!
  2. I got a little more done, not as much as I would have liked and I'm hopping I can spend a lot more time working on it tonight. But here is what I've done so far. I got the front part of the chassis painted black and it came out pretty good I think. There are a few spots that need to be touched up but other that I like it. This is the 1st time I have used silly putty to mask stuff off. Now I just need to get the rear done up. I also used the same colors on the interior and am liking how that looks too. Well that's it for now guys as I'm going to try and get some more done before I have something else come up.......... Like having to get a new battery for the Dakota today!!!!!!! AZ heat kills them pretty fast here as that one wasn't more then 2 years old!!!
  3. I thought about doing that, but I think I'm going to leave it as is. Can't wait to what you do with your Camaro. Thanks Romell, and I am having a lot of fun with this one and the only problem I keep seeming to have is I keep getting side tracked and am not spending as much time working on it as I'd like to.
  4. Russ, thanks and those colors sound great and I can't wait to see them so be sure to posted the on the board. Marty
  5. WOW!!! Love the detail work your doing on it!! Makes me want to dig the movie out and watch it!!
  6. I have to go with #2 as well, looks great and lets see some more of it soon.
  7. Romell, that is looking sweet!!!!
  8. Tony T, thanks for your suggestion and I'm going to try and do it that way. And thanks everyone for the compliments on the paint job.
  9. Yes it is pretty flexible by the time I was done with it and you just have to take your time with it.
  10. Yes I used a sanding stick and I'm not sure what the grit is on it but it's a real coarse one and then I used an X-Acto blade to open the slots once I got it to where you could see trough it and I also used a flat file too.
  11. Your Camaro's looking really nice!! Color reminds me of one a friend had back in Pontiac, MI. The grill took me about 45 mins to an hour and I'm still cleaning up some spots on it and should get some paint on it later today. This photo will show you just how much I had to sand it down to. Thanks
  12. I'm building the Revell '69 Camaro and was going to build it stock and then changed my mind and wanted to do something a little different with it so I did a two tone paint on it using HOK Tangelo Pearl & Tamiya Black. And now I'm stuck on how I want to paint the chassis and inter fender wells, firewall & radiator support? I was thinking of it all being painted Tangelo Pearl with the frame rails being black? I sanded the back side of the grill down to open it up. And I'm going to be using these wheels Please give me some some feedback, I've been sitting here looking at it for the last hour and I'm just not sure what will look the best, oh and I'm also thinking of painting the eng. block Tangelo as well?????
  13. Matt, that's a nice looking Dodge!!! Can you post some more photos of it? A while back I picked up some off road tires you made at Andy's are the ones on this truck the same ones?
  14. Hey Gabe that's coming along really nice!! I think if you were to change the topic name you might get some replies on this and get the help your looking for. Can't wait to see it done and on the contest table!!
  15. Yeah that was a good one Dan, when you asked Dale to print that plate I knew you were up to something. And the picture you guys had of me was really funny!!
  16. Man that sure is looking great!! I like where you went with it, love the way she sits!!
  17. Why it would make it look way better...................
  18. WOW that is one very long and very nice Caddy!!! Great job and it looks awesome!!! Marty
  19. That is coming along nice!! I like what you did to the seats and well really everything you have done so far is just awesome!!! Can't wait to see you start laying some paint down on this bad boy!!
  20. David, you did a great job on that Ford!! The black paint came out really nice!!! What paint did you use? And like every one else has already said BMF would look way better on it, yeah it can be a pain some times to work with but when you get it right it looks awesome!! I need to pick me up one of those kits some time and I think the one reason I haven't is because of all the chrome trim on it................
  21. Toby, that came out looking pretty good!! Can't wait to see it Saturday at the meeting........
  22. that was a good one!!!
  23. The other night I posted on here about what had happened on our closing day for the new house and then later I came back and deleted it. Well here is the update, and because someone didn't do their job right! (I say the bank) we are stuck in this house for another 45 days!!!! So we are like 80% packed with no where to go for a while!!!!!!!! I'm having a yard sale this weekend and then I guess I'll unpack some of my modeling stuff and do a little building!! So far this whole 1st home buyer stuff has not been fun for us, but they keep telling us it will get better!!
  24. Man every time I look at your build I just can't over how much detail your adding to it!! This thing is just sick dude!!!! Keep the updates coming on both of them...
  25. Thanks Jim and yeah that would be a long drive just to help me move.
