  1. That's a great price! Do they have any more?
  2. That's going to be a nice looking truck!! Your off to a good start on it.
  3. That's great!! I've been thinking about ordering some paint from them and with this kind of services it makes me feel pretty good about placing that order in the next few days. Marty
  4. Is that something that Modelhaus no longer makes? I don't think I've seen it in their catalog?
  5. That kit brings back some nightmares for me!!! When I was a kid back in Pontiac, MI the hobby shop I always went to buy models at, ask if I would build that kit for a customer that wanted but did not want to build it. I got paid something like $40 dollars to build it and I was doing good with it until I got to doing the wheels!! I think I was like 13 or 14 years old and for the life of me I could not do them!! My mom & dad and even my older brother tried and couldn't get them done!! I ended up taking it back with everything but the wheels done on it and I remember feeling real bad about not getting it done, but the guy was happy and paid me anyways.. So looks like the hardest part is done for you........... LOL Maybe some day I'll try and find one of those and give it a try again.
  6. Curtis, I'm glad I could help you out and it's awesome what Dick did for you!!! I don't get over there as much as I would like to, but when I have they have always been great to deal with. Marty
  7. I got this stuff at the DSC!! The "Too Much, '70 Dodge Challenger, Air brush & K&S engineering tubing bender" I got in the raffle and this year I only brought 6 of them and they were 6 for $5 so I think I did pretty good there!!!! And the Duster was given to me by a club member that had me watch his swap meet stuff. I picked up the Lil Red Truck because it come with a good set of Warlock decals And I picked up the '55 Chevy because it had a Racer's Wedge with it! oh and the '70 Ford Police also came with another decal sheet!! And they other stuff I just wanted!!
  8. Just wanted to let anyone from here that is going to this show and I haven't already met, that I will be there and have a In N Out Burger t-shirt on and will be taking lots of pictures for the Moonlight Modelers web site.. So if you see me please say hi.............
  9. WOW!!!! That looks so cool and everything looks just like the real deal!!! Will Jim be at the show tomorrow with it? I'd love to see it in person!!
  10. The more I look at this community build the more I want to give it a try and see if I can come up with something as cool and crazy as every one else has done. All of the builds look so good and bad at the same time... Marty
  11. Wow you did a great job on it!! Looks just right and colors really make it stand out. Where is the spot light from?
  12. The next time you are over I'll show you the brush I use and it seems to work pretty well, I have never tried to airbrush it yet.
  13. Well he was busy putting a oil pump on his car and couldn't come over. So this BMF job is all mine as well as the oops I hate it when that happens!!! I'm a little bumed out about it and it will have to do until I can fix what I messed up.............. See ya at 7pm or so.
  14. Well Dan, Thanks and it's 1:30 pm and this is where I'm at with it.
  15. Thanks Rodney, it's getting there and here is a photo with the interior in and the body has been clear coated. I still need to BMF it, but the stuff I have isn't sticking very well as I tried doing some on the interior and just gave up on it I'm also still working on the motor which is out of a AMT '71 Dodge Charger and I'm also going to put the A/C in it. Hoping to get it done in time for the club meeting tomorrow night............. but I don't know if that's going to happen.
  16. Just an FYI for those of you that want to have your Registration Forms filled out before you get to the show you can down load them from the Moonlight Modelers home page as well as the class rules. I'm looking forward to going and meeting anyone that's going from this board. Marty
  17. Just a little update of what's I've gotten done on this one.
  18. Since this is about bikes I thought I'd post this info here just in case anyone in the Phoenix area might want to do this bike ride. Every year Valley Metro does the "Great Bike Chase" you meet at a city park and they have all kinds of fun stuff to do and then you ride to the Ball park and watch a D-Backs game all for $16 we have done it a few times and I'm thinking about doing it again. Here is a photo of the 4 wheel bike at the park before I put the top back on it.
  19. Yeah I thought about fixing that, but it goes through the trim and it's on both sides and I didn't think I could fix it without messing up that trim so it stayed.
  20. I've been working on and off on this one for the last month and thought I'd post it here and show what I started with and where I'm at with it. I no know what they used to paint the strips, but it was a PITA to get off!! And they sure used a lot of glue on it!! When I was trying to get the glass out I broke some stuff...... But it all went back together just fine... And as of right now this is where I'm at and I should be able to get a little more done on it today. But I don't think I'll have it 100% done by Saturday for our club meeting which the theme is glue bombs.......
  21. Wow what a way to start the week off!!!!! Hope it all cleans up ok for you.
