  1. Since NZ bands are allowed too....this is my brother's band, The Drongos, who were based in New York in the 80s. Richard is the guy with the sunburst 335 and also plays the bum at the beginning.
  2. Love the Pontiac too!
  3. Looking great so far.
  4. Nice score, very tidy.
  5. Nice work Tulio - but I hope you now return to your signature miles-deep SHINEY paint jobs.
  6. Beautiful work as always John! I'm always impressed with your photography too, so sharp and perfectly lit. Would you mind writing a couple of lines about your set-up?
  7. I recently posted a finished model of mine on another builder's WIP - it seemed relevant to the way the discussion was going. But my photo was then quoted twice, quite innocently of course, but it did look a little intrusive.
  8. $16 for a model kit? My heart bleeds! Here in Switzerland a new Revell USA kit costs around $40.
  9. At 66 I don't worry too much about the future of the hobby (never did really). But I'm greatly enjoying the present state of affairs, where us old guys seem to be the main target market. For a number of years now there have been more interesting classic subjects released each year than I can keep up with (Hudsons, Chryslers, Pontiacs etc). Buy lots of these now and you can keep building even if the whole hobby dries up. What me worry.
  10. Great to see some unusual Japanese subjects, specially when so nicely done. (And I liked your choices for European cars in your other post. Thought I was the only one here who'd like to see a Ford Zephyr or a Triumph Herald.)
  11. For some reason I can no longer control the quote button, hence the blank post above. I won't try again.
  12. No suggestions from me - it looks GREAT as is!
  13. I have been guilty of this when I thought it relevant. But you got me thinking and I've decided not to do it again.
  14. Beautiful pair of pickups - and a nice story about the extra two inches!
  15. Great looking truck!
  16. Excellent work, I specially like the weathered Mack.
  17. I don't always visit the truck section so I missed out on this beautiful model - plus the excellent tutorial. Thanks for sharing your techniques.
  18. Wow, that is excellent!
  19. Mean machine, but very nicely done!
  20. Excellent!
