  1. Has anyone done a photo etch cowl? How did you install it? On my body I have cut the hole the size of the pot etch piece. I need it to be even with the surface of the cowl. Suggestions? Here is a pic.
  2. The last few years of the C4 were the best of the breed since they added the LT-1 engine and 17 inch wheels.
  3. The footwells on the C4's are deeper than any other Vette before or since. That adds to the difficulty of getting in or out. On the later models like the C7 they did a You-Tube video of how to get in and out of the Vette.
  4. Congratulations. Looks great. Love the Torch Red. I had a White 85/Red Interior w/ the Doug Nash 4+3 transmission. Still have my 1st Vette 78 Silver Anniversary.
  5. 100 parts. That sounds like a nice detailed kit. Will be nice to see some test shots wwhen they are available.
  6. Thanks Rob. I like the Multi-part engine.
  7. Translation?
  8. Now if they deliver the Z06 then that might bee worth the wait.
  9. Great thread. Thanks for all who have posted to this info about craft paints.
  10. I am thrilled to see this. Hope they do the GT3 race version too. But did you see it is November 2023?
  11. I am think it might be some static electricity that is attracting me dust on the Pet-G. I am going to try to polish the mold some to see what happens. Thanks for your heads up.
  12. Those were cast in Gray resin. I was think maybe some dust on them or the Pet-G but i used canned air to blow them off before heating the Pet-G. The masters had primer one them. The buck feel very smooth to me. I might try to polish them using my micro sanding pads going 4000 thru 12000.
  13. I have some bucks that I used to vacuum formed windows. They formed pretty well using .020 Pet-G. But there appearto be some bumps in the clear. Any idea where I need to look to fix this issue? Thanks in advance for your help.
  14. The dash was a problem. After narrowing the dash some it was stil 1.5 mm to wide. We used a powered sanding disk to do a chanfer on the side edge from the dash back to the quarter window grove.this narrowed the side panels to just leas than 60mm. It then fit without a problem. Thanks everyone for your help.
  15. I am going to my buddy's house today to work on this car. I will post an update when I get back home with the progress.
  16. I have cancelled the bids on buyers who don't pay in 4 days or so & don;t respond to my e-mails. In this case I might cancel the bid just because he might claim that the wheel/tire is missing after he gets the kit and try to force a refund.
  17. We gave up on the quater windowws. They are longer than the slot that is in the side panels and dn;t seat well.
  18. Thanks Roger. I will do more of that when I go back to my friends house next week.
  19. My bad. It is the Duster 340. Sorry about that.
  20. Steve this is not my build. I am just helping my buddy who has Parkisons do the final assembly. I have test fitted this several times but still can't find the issue. Since I don't buiId Mopars I am just looking for people who have built this kit and resolved the issue. This is one of the newer AMT kits. I would have thought they would have better fit than what I am experiancing.
  21. Thanks. I have done somee of that. I also noticed that the interior panels are too wide at the dash board
  22. Has anyone successfully been able to get the chassis/interior to correctly seat in the body at the windshield? I thinned the bottom of the windshield & sanded the front edge of the dash but it still won't seat. Here are some pics.
  23. Thanks Bill. I love this 3D stuff.
  24. When I sit down at the bench I like to have at least a 3 hour window whether I use the time or not.
