  1. Moved to under glass.
  2. I'll bet its done before 5:00. Great work John, you are an inspiration to all of us.
  3. Got most of the interior done on this. Need to do alittle fine tuning still. The only modification done wad I moved the door line forward. Theres not a whole lot you can do to this interior its kinda plain.
  4. More pictures.Thanks for looking.
  5. Made some more progress on this build. I painted the body today. The first thing I did was to mask off the stripes, Then I shot some Testors Diamond dust, then some clear blue and then pulled off all the tape (after it dried DUH!!) and top coated with clear. The pictures dont give the true color of this thing, it looks like the old hot wheels spectrum flame colors. Very cool. I still need to sand and polish this later, but I think the painting is done. Enjoy.
  6. If you need a hat I will mail you one LOL
  7. I laid the tape on a plastic sheet drew my lines, then placed the tape on the body and used a new blade to cut the squares.
  8. Got some more paint on this. I went with some more checkered flag design, kinda what I did on the 2 door 94 Impala. Still needs to be wet sanded, some of this will be covered with the next paint step. I used some Tamiya light blue metallic then some clear blue then some clear to top it all off. On to the pictures.
  9. Does my vote count, I think its a model of a real car.
  10. This keeps getting better everytime I look at it. Keep up the great work
  11. Thanks for your comment

    X Sonic

looks good to me in any color. I like your build lets see what you do next.
  15. I used a sprue from the kit and held it about 10 inches from the model, but I heard you can get the same effect with the candle. If you use the sprue just remember to do it in a well ventilated area (like outside) because the black soot will get everywhere. I did mine outside and I wore a respirator.
  16. Got some paint on this. Painted the base coat with Testors Diamond Dust. I then used the smoking sprue to get the marble effect (this does not show well in photos but the effect is darker in person). Then I used Tamiya clear blue and top it off with some clear. The blue will only be the SS stripes when complete.
  17. I got the idea from a picture on the web. The center stripe is just a piece of lace taped to the body then painted with the purple . After I took the lace off I sprayed it with clear purple.
  18. I have to agree with LAone, the wheels and tires look much better now. Keep up the great work.
  19. A few more.
  20. Just finished this one. I gotta tell you as much as I enjoyed building this for my grandaughter, this is probably one of the worst kits I have ever seen. About the only thing that did fit were the parts that were modified. But it turned out as plan and my grandaughter will enjoy this for years to come, and thats priceless. Enjoy.
  21. Finished this, moved to Under Glass
  22. Also got some of the paint on the body, first I tried some lace on the hood, roof and trunk.(and yes I know the pattern is not to scale) painted this with the purple ,then I thinned down some of this paint with some clear and shot this on with an airbrush, then I added a checkered pattern to the quarter panel again using the same paint as before, the added some flames with the pink. Hard part of this was I had to clear and wet sand each layer just to keep the paint line from showing. I just painted the final coat of purple and will post when dried.
  23. Made a little progress on this build. My daughter picked the colors that she wants me to paint this , she choose Testors Purple-licious and Testors Electric pink, both are the one coat lacquer type. On to the build. I finished the chassis, Had to modify the suspensions to get it lower. My daughter is naming this child Deityn (pronounced Dayton as in Dayton wheels),so I had to have some daytons on this. Also modified the interior to look somewhat like a two door painted it in light gray with pink and purple highlights and used purple flocking for the carpet.
  24. Looks real to me, I dont know for sure but it looks like someones legs in the reflection in the front bumper. I am probably wrong we will see tomorrow.
  25. Couple more pictures before any putty was added. Also body is sitting on frame.
