  1. Thanks for your comments pandamonium2112. To answer your question about where to get the evercoat putty. Most of your automotive parts stores should carry some, also you should be able to find it at any auto body suppliers. It is easy to work with and it sands out easy.
  2. Nice build. I like your idea for the interior, Color looks awesome.
  3. holy BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH Batman look at what someone did to your batmobile!!!. lol Looks great, very clean build.
  4. Well would'nt you know it I was not happy with the brake rotors, so I had to change them. So out came the dremel and sand paper, I cut off the calipers and replaced them with the units from a zo6 corvette. I may sand the corvette logo off and try to put chevelle on them. (with decals).
  5. I also had to modify the rear inner fender wells so the tires would fit. I first ground out some plastic then added some putty then sanded it down.
  6. Brake rotors front and back. Heres what they look loke on the car.
  7. Done some work on this over the last couple of days, added the tail light pockets from the new camaro. Had to modify the front and rear suspension to fit under the chevelle body. I also made some new rotors using pegaus rotors and made a new shim for the front side and used the back side of the camaro unit.
  8. evercoat 2 part polyester glazing putting.
  9. now this is thinking outside the box. great looking build.
  10. looks good with the newer camaro wheels on it. keep up the good work
  11. hello and Happy new year to everyone. At this moment I am kinda stalled on this build because I dont know what color I want to paint it. My original intent was to lay down a fade paint job like Gene Winfield use to do back in the day, but aparently my air brushing skills are not up to par for this. So I have came to all of you for some advice for paint. I want to keep this a color that would have been used for a 60"s custom. Any Ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
  12. I will probably use the camaro engine but I will modify it a little. Now that I have all the body mods done I will start on the engine and chassis. As soon as it warms up enough I will try to get some color on this.
  13. Here is a picture with the door handle on the car. Now should I leave them chrome or paint them body color?
  14. I also decided to put some newer door handles on this. I had a mini cooper parts car and I thought that the handles off it would look good so out came the cutters and I began some surgery on the doors.
  15. OK made a little progress on this build today. I made some hood hinges out of brass tubing and rod. I also added some bracing on this inside of the hood.
  16. Also worked on the front grille. I cut out the center and added some horizontal pieces and shaped to match the grille. I also added some material to the rearveiw mirrors to get the correct angle of the chevelle sides.
  17. Thanks to everyone for the nice comments. Got some more work done to this build today, still trying to work out the back end of this. I did away with the inner tail lights and added a center panel in between the lights, this panel will probably be painted black. If you look at a70 chevelle SS most of them a panel similar to this. I will make the panel lines narrower in the future.
  18. Hello again, I was also think about adding some side molding to this. My idea is to embed the molding into the body. I added a strip of plastic to the side to get an idea what it would look like. this would be body color so not to distract from the car. What do you guys think.
  19. Well I kept looking at the back of this build and just thought it did not look new enough so I did a little cutting and adding some plastic to change it up a bit, I also moved the license plate down, but it still does not look right to me. any way here are a few pictures, I will let you guys be the judges. After a little clean up Side few.
  20. thanks everyone for your comments.
  21. Heres a few more pictures for you.
  22. Been awhile since I had any updates on this but I finally got some primer on it. The red that was on the hood show through the primer, but I can take care of that with some sealer. Also I opened up the grille and will put some mesh behind it. hope you enjoy. I may reshape the back end to make it a little more modern, what do you think??.
  23. as I said before John you have the ability to turn plastic into art. are my eyes decieving me here, is that a ford motor under that hood. glad you did not go the traditional way and put a chevy motor in there. Now I hope I did not offend any chevy fanatics out there, just saying its nice to a ford motor-vated by ford power. and for the record I love chevies.
  24. now that looks pretty good, now dont forget to post pictures of chevy with the olds roof.
  25. very nice craftsmanship. I like the rear wheels moved back, it looks more proportioned now. keep up the cool work, any thoughts about color???
