  1. keep up the great work Ace. This is a great looking concept...
  2. excellent work. I see you are casting some of your work, about time, should cut down on some of your building time..
  3. looks good to me. These multi piece bodies are always hard to work with, but you pulled it off..
  4. Some more pictures...
  5. Ok everyone, got a little update for you. Got the chassis 99% finished, still have a bit of plumbing to do. Car will be Hugger orange with white stripes, so I painted the chassis to match. Painted the front of the chassis black, I used a few different metalizer paints on portions of the front and rear suspensions.I also used some carbon fiber decals on the tanks. I made the front steering posable with some brass rod. Added brake lines front and rear. So on with the pictures. Next up the interior. Do you guys think I should paint the interior the bland grays of today cars or should with go with something to match the orange?
  6. I don't smell no plastic with this one, I will have to say model
  7. Looking good. I would stick with the kit hood, maybe fill in the vents and call it a day, oh by the way IMHO stands for in my honest opinion.
  8. I was thinking along the lines of corgi..
  9. From my experience: #1. I don't think Alclad is as tough as chrome, if you handle it too much it seems to rub off. #2 I use the backside of an exacto blade to open up door panels. If I am just scribing panel lines to make them deeper I use a dental tool.. #3 I agree with W- Machine on the BMF for a sharp line, but I always spray away from the edge to avoid buildup of paint. Also Tamiya make a fine line masking tape that I have used and have had good results with. You will probably get a hundred different answers to each of these question. Like Kaleb stated Overall patience and practice makes a better model.
  10. I think I know the manufacturer, but can not pin point year or model.
  11. B.F. Goodrich started adding carbon black to their tires in 1910, but it was invented to add longer life to tires, the color black was just a side effect.LOL
  12. I got one made by Airfix. Dont know how the body proportions are compared to the MPC. I might just have to open this one and see!!
  13. well this one is about ready for some paint. I am kinda leaning towards Hugger Orange with white stripes, a throwback color from the 70's. Then maybe add some pearl to the clear coat. What do you guys think??
  14. great looking build. some fine scratch building happening here, I for one think since you are scratch building your own parts for the masters then replicating them, it still counts as a scratch built part... Maybe?
  15. Nice one Harry.. but I think I might know this one....Well I hope do...
  16. great looking build. Cost of kit: $15, cost of paint: $8, time spent with your daughter: PRICELESS.
