still unable to repost pictures due to fotki still moving things around, but promises should be up and running by the 26th, I have heard that one before!!
When I was a lot younger I use to strap bottle rockets to models just to watch them go down the street and blow up. With enough bottle rockets tied to them they would blow apart real good.
tried to repost pictures but fotki is still moving everything to Estonia or where ever? Should be done moving by the 15th. will try to post after that date.
well I tried to repost the pictures but fotki is still moving everything to Estonia or where ever! Everything should be moved by Nov. 15th. I will try to post them then.
sorry pictures did not load, this build was completed about 6 months ago, sometimes when the topic is older the pictures will not load. I will reload them sometime tomorrow.
Thanks to everyone who commented on this build. I really do appreciate all of your comments. Now maybe I can get the energy to finish some of my other builds. Sorry I did not thank you earlier when you commented but I been working a lot of hours on rotating shifts and have not had a lot of time for building or commenting on other post.
wow that came out very nice Pete. Cant wait to see the other two versions. Glad to have you back where you belong. Hope to see more of your work very soon.
My friend has one of these things, his parents bought it new. Price of this was $68,000 plus some change. It was a very nice truck when they purchased it back in 1990. even today with over 250,000 miles it still drives strong. These were originally only sold to the military and police departments before the company decided to sell to the public.
I would join in on this build, but it takes me way too long to build anymore. Even if you push the end date to January of 2015 I would probably be still not finished
I tried doing the entire roof just never worked out. Even tried windows from different kits they never looked right. I was using an old Mattel vacu-form unit for the windows, they would either fog over or wrinkle too bad to use. Thanks everyone for your comments.
The paint on this is darker than the original, but I get to repaint it due to some of the body work shrinking and cracking in places. I did this about 8 years ago, couldn't get the windows right than put it away. I was using an old Mattel vacu-form machine to form the windows, it work on almost every occasion except for this build.
I have been working on this for quite awhile now, but have never been satisfied with the outcome. I have made several attempts to vacuum form the windows, each attempt has failed. Now what to do with it. Should I make a one off convertible or ?? Let me know what you guys think! Thanks for looking.
This is what it is suppose to look like.
This is what it is
