  1. Nice!!!!!!! Very clean and looks like it just left the dealership!!! Nice to see one built stock!
  2. It's always eye candy to see one of these built factory stock and yours is nicely done. These were a retty little truck and not often seen any more. being a "stocker", I can really appreciate your build. Nice job!
  3. Your build is certainly sharp looking in those colors.. good choice of colors and a nice job all around!!
  4. Original idea using the Gulf decals on this truck. Nice and clean.. looks like a service station gopher truck from back in the good old days.
  5. Looks REALLY good Rick! Nice and clean.. color looks great! The step side box on these short wheel base trucks has a much nicer look than the long box where as the long box fleet side is IMHO the nicer of the two body styles. You did this one justice! Nice work!!
  6. I am in need of parts to put a 1/18 die cast DOH '69 Charger back together. Someone robbed a bunch of pieces off of mine and it would be nice to make it complete again. It's just a shelf piece and will display OK once it is complete again. The body and paint are in excellent condition on the model - not sure why someone would have ripped a bunch pf parts off of it, but people do what they do. Mine is not to reason why, as they say.List of needed parts is as follows: 1) door mirror 2) pair of vent windows 3)windshield wipers 4) gas cap 5) steering wheel and column 6) complete exhaust system Or would be happy to obtain a damaged or worn Charger that I can use for the parts. Can purchase or trade. Thanks in advance.
  7. Still looking for a rear bumper for a '64 Mercury Marauder that I bought a few years ago on Ebay. When the car arrived, it had been poorly packaged and the rear bumper was broken in two pieces. It could be glued but I;d prefer a good bumper. Willing to purchase or trade. Thanks.
  8. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas for copying body side moldings and emblems too make castings to use on other cars? For instance, I am looking at buying a '55 Ford 2 door wagon and I'd like to change the side trim to that of a 55 Crown Victoria. In other words, this photo represents what I would like to create but the die cast wagon body's side trim is all wrong. And yes, I know the pictured car is a '56.. but how can I duplicate that trim and transfer it into the 55 wagon?
  9. Looks good Rick.. The white roof on the cab sets it off nicely and the grille is a nice touch as well. I really like the 55-59 body style - especially the '58/'59's with the quad headlights. Revell or AMY needs to come out with a '58/9 Chevy step side or long wheel base fleet side. But your build looks great!
  10. Definitely unique! That color looks close to the factory Sea Foam Green that a '64 1/2 ton that I used to have was.. I always liked the color - soft and pretty and easy on the eyes. Your realistic color definitey adds to the overall look of the build. Nice!!
  11. You certainly can;t be accused of not being persistent or being one to take the easy way out!! Wow! That's a huge amount of work. Just wondering why you are fixing this cab instead of just using a new one? Or am I missing something here? My hat is off to you for taking the time and effort to save the cab - sometimes, it's a matter of principal on a project like this - save as much of the original kit as possible just to prove to yourself that you can do it. As John Wayne once said, "Sometimes a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do".
  12. Really pretty!!! Those Ram Chargers had some gorgeous color combinations.. yours looks really elegant and I like the interior. I had a silver and charcoal one with a red interior for awhile that was very attractive and easy on the eyes, Sure do not see many of these on the road around here any more as they seemed prone to rust issues at an early age. Looking forward to seeing this one done.. I've got one started but packed away right now and I filled in the roof and I think it looks much better.
  13. Looks good Rick.. some neat ideas integrated into this one.. nice build!!
  14. Agreed.. it would be nice to see the finished product.. Has anyone cast a Ranger grille with the center emblem in the grille?? https://previews.123rf.com/images/mybaitshop/mybaitshop1210/mybaitshop121000122/15699700-MARION-WI-SEPTEMBER-16-Grill-of-1969-Ford-F100-Ranger-Truck-at-the-3rd-Annual-Not-Just-Another-Car-S-Stock-Photo.jpg
  15. I'd like to see that one too.. The Flintstone casting has potential.. hopefully someone can come up with a link..
  16. Sure is a pretty car and colour! Nice, clean build..
  17. The two tone really does make that model outstanding!!! Nice choice of colours.. looks fantabulous!!!!!
  18. Hi Mark, Gee - we're almost neighbors! *smiles* Those wheel covers on that red beauty are from a '56 Oldsmobile.. they certainly suit that Chevy.. I am not sure where you would find a set of those - now where is Modelhaus?????????? Not to start a debate here, but somebody really needs to either buy that business or start producing some of the stuff they offered.
  19. Randy, that Buick is an exceptionally pretty model and the color is close to a stock green . There's a '66 hardtop running around my area here that is a very similar green but it has a white roof. I can't recall the interior color but the white goes nicely with your body color. There is not much that can be done to these cars to improve the stock look - it is nice to see that you stayed with the factory theme, The blue car looks like a sweetheart too but I am much more fond of the '66 design..
  20. If you combine the aforementioned long box, the more common and affordable '55-7 Chevy step side pickup fenders are correct or use the custom frnders from the AMT 53 F100 kit. Those need a bitof work, but lots of guys never used them so they are likely available,Tailgates were the same from 55 though 72 for the step side trucks.
  21. Hi Howard, Warmest regards and my heart goes out to you with your injury. I understand your frustration with being unable to buy your truck back as I had a '64 Falcon hardtop that I sold and tried and tried to buy back only to have the then owner actually openly laugh at me. .. Stupid Photobucket wont let your photos show.. the good old greed factor, you know. Perhaps try another hosting site.. Aren't there some issues using the newer hood on that original annual? Or was it justthe box that wont line up properly? Still, I for one, would like to see your truck..
  22. Someone needs to cast the box fender with the cut out to mount the spare up on yje side of the box.. Someone did do the 55-66 Chev truck fenders wit the cut put but I can not remember who it was. I always liked the spare mounted on the front side of the box. This feature does not seem to be very common but it really gives the truck that '50's look.. The spare could be mounted on either side but drivers side looks to be by fat the most common. There are a couple of photos to show the mounting brackets and the box fender cut out.
  23. Looks sweet Rick! The wheels really do look good on that car.. I gotta get me one of those to give to my brother who has a real bucket seat/console Cutlass convertible. Nice car - actually IMHO, much nicer that the over rated Chevelle of the same year.
  24. It's nice to see the base, plain jane model for once without the "chrome" grille and hubcaps - the way that most of them were. This truck does however, beg for a set of narrow whitewall tires - those would REALLY set that blue off!! Is this one a six cylinder or a V8? One like this, with a six would be outrageous!
  25. This is a unique concept but not at all unrealistic. I like the colors and the painted grille and hub caps.. and the panel behind the grille is even white like it should be.Lots of work opening those rear doors I'd bet - and the fit is good when they are closed. Nice work Rick.. Thank you for sharing.
