CPMCC Montly Meeting - 7/4/09
Bowtienutz replied to Daniel Peterson's topic in Model Club News and Announcements
Sorry I missed that one, I flew home with the entent to make it to my 2nd meeting of the year of course it was not to be I came down with a nasty head cold. Joy joy especially with the head problems I have. I'll be flying back in again Thursday See you all at York. -
Lawton is a long way from anywhere. a good 45 miles from Witchita Falls. There use to be a club in Witchita Falls years ago but I lost all contact with them. I think the guy's name that was head honcho was Jim Wilshire. Good luck it's a bummer being a modeler in a one horse town. You may get lucky and find some guys at Ft. Sill that would be interested. Down side of that is that it will be hard to give the club roots as in long time members because they rotate out of there so soon. However you may find that the Army has a office that would be able to assist you by telling new troops about your club as they provide welcoming packages of things to do in the area. Good luck

I've been wondering about that kit for some time. I just scored on evil bay. My eyesight isn't what it was once thanks to an eye operation gone bad. Maybe working on something bigger will help. If you need some assistance in casting I can help.

cool I've been pilfering edsel kits for the chassis parts for other ford projects. I have lots of spare bodies. Can you post more pictures of the chassis and interior fit ?

You missed the "dragfest" at Bruce's last weekend I'm sure he would have loved to see it. Vince Putt -
When someone points out things that are wrong with a kit and can prove it you you just can't diss him because he was the only one to point out the mistakes of the so called "experts" who wrote the article. Revell didn't nail it and Alan was right on calling them on it, and also calling attention to the writers opinion as being just that. Point is if you like it build it, if you don't fix it or use it as a parts kit. Vince Putt 73 nova hatchback owner 69 nova owner
