  3. Ben Wicker turned me on to a site http://www.modelmakershop.com/modelmakershop/ for some detail parts I was looking for that were very unique and not available here in the states. I'm a procrastinator and finally got around to placing an order. Parts were excellent quality and the best part is I ordered parts on Nov 7th I recieved them yesterday on the 16th. I'm in PA they are in Austria. We are talking 9 calender days to get something from half way around the world. Just a heads up there are still lots of great companies out there!
  4. Al-Anabi is gone. http://www.dragracingonline.com/agent1320/2011/1320-xiii_10-75.html rumour has it the Shiek is in rehab and his Daddy pulled the plug. They also invested $20mil in the ADRL more changes to come.
  5. way to many magazines and books. I started taking pics of covers that kinda jogs my memory where to look for my drag racing reference. here's my Super Stock and Drag illustrated collection.http://public.fotki.com/VincePutt/magazine-cover-back/ssdi/
  6. Cut the doors with photo etch micro saws and the string dental floss method work well. The Model car Garage hinges are very nice. Replace the wire that comes in their kitwith .015 brass wire. Follow the instructions! Take your time. use JB weld to attach they work. I have found them frustrating to use. The Stainless steel is not very forgiving. A photo etch bending tool may be helpful but I don't have one.

  20. Nice Job, as for Harry's Comment No magic involved the front fenders attach at the cowl and Rad support. It could work but there would be alot of flex in the car. Inner fenders stiffin things up and keep engine compartment clean. On the 1:1 camaro inner fenders would bolt to fender lip area, Rad core support and an additional brace would bolt from inner fender to the firewall. Even with all this in the car there was still flex between the firewall and front subframe. Herb Adams designed tubular triangular braces that bolted to the firewall and attached to front upper control arm bolt this in combination with solid mounts for the front subframe replacing rubber bushings, a few other suspension tricks allowed that generation F Body to pull a g on the skidpad in the early 80's making it a real corvette eater.
