  2. Dingo, Anything you find on the web would look really bad by the time it was blown up to A5 size. Contact the Manufacturers you may find yourself pleasently surprised what they might send you.

  6. I'm still waiting on Romell to send me some of the parts and pieces he missed from the original shipment. The truck is alive and well. some repairs need to be made from damage during shipment. I took it to the Masscar show this last weekend to show Rommell's work to the East coast guys and got alot of compliments. I take it to NNL East in just a few weeks before I resume the build. (other projects that need to be worked on and I need to define what all I what the "Big 1" to be. I got new frame rails from GW trucks at the Mass car show. The frame has issues that need to be addressed to insure that it doesn't react like a pipe cleaner from the wieght of all the heavy parts. Now it's time for a poll to see what direction the truck should take. You have seen throughout the post that Romell had two different cabs. I also have a Lonestar. Ideas suggestions?
  7. I just got in and I'll upload photos later, It was my first time at the show, Congrats to everyone involved they may me feel very welcome. I hada great time. Old friends new friends. I was able to take some of my good friend Irvin Arter's models. He nail down two positions. I was very proud to accept. Found some good buys @ the swap meet. Because of my medical conditions It was the few times I've been able to get away from the house for an extended period of time since October. Time to unwind and nap.
  8. I got my bus on and the Haynes manual. The manual is a must hundreds of color photos. Here's what's in the box. http://public.fotki.com/VincePutt/scale-modeling-1/future-projects/revell-routemaster/
  9. Is he still active in building that's incredible.
  10. The Big One has arrived at its new home. Minimal damage in transit, rear steer axle was broken away from the frame, a couple of axle stubs broken off rear axles, and a small cable guide broken from the wrecker boom. Pictures later, Thanks Romell
  11. We got to talking about this the other night in chat. I opened my kit that I purchased and it was screwed up. All 4 trees. Did you experience the same thing?
  12. The new crewcab arrived today. It's has a molded on Fleetside style bed. I know it's not what Mopar calls it but I.... The bed can easily be cut off and added to the standard cab to build a neat SWB early dodge. The cab differs from the standard cab offering in that it has a molded in rear window. Lots of great detail and of course very little cleanup is needed. Also included is Vacum form windshield not pictured along with flat acetate and pattern for rear window. I talked with Don and ordered just what I need for my project nothing more nothing less. I saved a few dollars My plan is converting the crew cab to a D700 for my Prudhomme hauler and build a street machine pickup with a single cab. Pictures are on the link below. Now off to the bench to start cutting and wacking away. Let the Resin Dust fly. link to Pics http://public.fotki....haus-64-dodge-/ Hauler Pics http://public.fotki.com/VincePutt/scale-modeling-1/cnc-project/hauler/

Find a new publisher with better distribution if you want the magazine to suceed in the yearsto come.
  14. Here is a trailer wiring diagram If you want to get something in scale I'd use stripped telephone wire lay ir out folowing the diagram. Then white glue the harness together. paint the harness black. Add a few wire ties. http://www.etrailer.com/faq-wiring.aspx

  16. I emailed tem last year 2011 and asked of the 1/16th petty reissue rumors. And they explained it would be out by christmass 2011. Still waiting. It bothers me but ya know I remember when I was a kid. I never got advanced warning of a kit coming out or any thing "in the works". I can rember walking down the the aisle of my stationary store and just hoping I had enough of my allowance to get this now or spend $.28 cents buy a gallon of gas and mow Mrs. Murphy's lawn today so I could come back tomorrow.
  17. Neat items from Doozy until you do a yen to Dollar conversion, and you can't close the website fast enough.
  18. I started using a similiar technique for the piano hinges only I used stainless wire to hold the tube in place while I soldered in place. I works much better than any finicky piano hinges from MCG.
  19. I wear an apron with velcro attachment to the workbench. No need to get on my hands and knees looking for stuff.
  20. I talked with Don About a special project I want to do. A Crew cab is indeed coming It will have a short bed.
  21. Mike you wouldn't happen to have a extra coffin that you would care to trade, sell ? I'd love to have an original to cast?
