Thanks Dan for the links, I don't see a lot of trucks running super singles around here. I do like the look. What's your thoughts, do these look convincing? When a truck is set up to run super singles on the drive axles does it run a float tire on the front? Did you modify the kit wheels or use some aftermarket wheel? I see that the vender offers a aggressive pattern and a highway pattern for the super single. Would a highway pattern be used on the trailer? Thanks for your time.

Anyone been watching street outlaws?
Bowtienutz replied to Dragfreak's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Interesting show fun to watch neat cars, goofballs for sure, hey it's TV. I wonder what it would be like if they would make a TV show of what goes on in this place. You couldn't make this stuff up. Just sayin. -
Nice build Russell it's a shame that you had to sell it off when you were tight for a few bucks. I had a friend who I found out had to do the same thing to his GSL people's choices award winning car. As he was on his death bed I was able to close a deal to acquire the car back. I got the information to his family less than an hour before he passed. The car now presides in the museum in Salt Lake City. Just where he wanted.

Dodge Big Horn
Bowtienutz replied to Mopar - D's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Very nice job. I have one of those cabs I hope mine comes out as well as yours. -
Chuck I'm all in for that WJ car when it's available I'll be watching this post.

Rob that's a good looking car however I would probably walk past it as displayed or blew past it had you not put a this topic to your post. I've judged many contest in my day. I really dig what you did to the car and see what all the effort you you put into it especially in the engine compartment with the rework of the front header and the cleaning up the fenders and firewall. What kills n the car is the flat statin paint paint and the headlight screen along with the wheel choice. It mad max ish. Here is a suggestion, go the "what if" route what if mercury built a eliminator that year, grabber blue, modified stripes, hideaway headlamps, satin black black hood, you get the idea. Add some wire looms to the spark plug wires. When displaying any model at a show presentation is everything you got to grab the attention of people. Do what you have to do or can get away with to do so. Display stands, mirrors, printed our materials with a description of your mods. P

'73 Chevrolet Chevelle- Mastered by Tom Ellifritt
Bowtienutz replied to W-409's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I received my Chevelle from Kevin yesterday and all I can say is WOW! It is incredible! The only real flash on the kit is on some smal parts, left there intentually for shipping purposes. I seen Tom's work before and I knew it was first rate so I didn't have any question that the master was totally correct and and I know Kevin hie is a friend and I've ordered from him before so I the casting and service was also first rate. I PayPal him Sunday and the kit arrived Wednesday. Here's what I got when I got when I open the box. The body, chassis, interior bucket, dashboard, bench seat steering wheel, tilt column, firewall, sport mirrors & hood are cast in white resin and truly look like kit pieces. The chassis looks a kit pit piece maybe modified but I I can' put my finger on it. No suspension or exhaust pieces are provided. The body is straight and true with all all trim well defined. Even a a parking lot rub strip on the sides of the car. The chrome parts include front and rear bumpers grille, headlight buckets, & tailight trim. The chrome is bright and clean with no mold seems better than kit pieces. Clear red taillights, and clear headlights, are provided. A vacuform can greenhouse is also provided. A small decal sheet includes front and rear side marker lights, 2 gold Chevy bowties (unknown placement) a key lock ( presumably for the trunk) and a chevelle+bowtie (presumably for rear panel). This is an excellent kit as far I'm considered it sets a new standard that all othe resin kits should be judged against. Move over modelhaus! The price ain't cheap at $87.50 shipped to my door but it's on par with Modelhaus charges. I hope that Kevin can pipe in here and answer some questions about the decal placement, and sourcing chassis parts. My plans for kit are kinda undecided. I'm not a big bone stock builder, street machines are more my cup of tea. Now what to do a "last454" ,a BM 454 or a Laguna conversion. In any event for now I placed the firewall & dash. in the interior bucket and placed that assembly inside the body and installed the body and taped the hood down until I complete my research and source my parts. The reason I do this past experience that the white resin is more has tendencies to warp in comparison to tan resin. Thanks to Tom and Kevin and everyone at missing link for bringing us such a great product. -
Wow very cool ! Roadster has lots of possibilities also for bracket cars. Forgive me if I'm missing something but are you already producing resin bodies ? You don't appear to be a newbie at this.

Will this be a master for a resin cast body?

Years ago Rick told me he planned on building an Anglia. Then Pontiac gave him the body and urged him to use it to help promote the J car. Check out using an Anglia body I've never seen anyone build one with that body, and I've never checked the wheelbase. Good luck

has anyone Built one yet? Looking for research material and seeing buildups. before I get started. vince

I picked up the re release of AMT 67 Shelby Mustang. I'd like to paint it the factory color called Candy apple red. OK I know the Factory didn't actually use candy but what would be a reasonable alternative for a non Candy that would match the ford color without breaking the bank at the local paint jobber ? Vince

By this time PS was tube chassis BBC. Get ahold of Revell Camaro PS kit and modify stuff to fit.
