  1. I have the cab cut down to a single cab. I was thinking of adding rooftop marker lights as separate parts. Would Interior parts be important or would you comfortable cutting down kit pieces.
  2. Cool project I've never seen that hauler before. I'll be following along on this build I have the Dodge cab I was thinking about building a different Petty hauler. Maybe you changed my mind how much research material do you have on that hauler ?
  3. From what you have seen on the real thing ? or on toys like above ? I don't want to waste a kit or waste rubber and time only to find it was done wrong?
  4. anyone have access to a real single cab truck to take pictures of the roof ribbing to make a conversion a have saw and casting materials ready
  5. I didn't know they used them (one) in philly take lots of photos I'd glady pay you for a cd/DVD of photos maybe you could smoosze someone and get into the maintenance yard and really crawl around it. I know you love that. Talk to you at NNL East. Brib ya with food. I know plastic would work better. But I'm buying all that I can find food I can live without.
  6. And who was that e-tailer and what was the shipping cost ?
  7. I'd be interested in building both a 68 and a 69 in stock Hi Perf 396 versions from this kit. Shy of scratchbuilding or sectioning in a vent window area, what parts would I need? some i think I got or understand what I need Modelhaus or Missing link 69 tailights 68 tailights? MCG detail set for marker lights and other detail parts maybe 2 sets? 68 & 69? Front Grille & bumper is it a 68 or a 69? rear bumper? use the kit? Dash is it a 68 or a 69? Are the door panels and seats patterns the same? Has anyone tried other chassis with better detail? thanks guys
  8. I picked up the Revell Boss 302 and after seeing a couple of really nice kits being built up here I couldn't wait to start building mine. I'll post pictures soon. At this point nothing is glued together just parts are painted per kit instructions. A few things i wanted to research a little more I hit the Ford website. I spent the next hour there playing with an App they have. Ford has got a cool app on their site you can build a mustang of your dreams with custom stripes, custom colors, aftermarket parts everything and save it. I built a virtual model played with what color I wanted to paint it. You need to do this if you plan on building this kit. I still need to head off to the Ford dealer for some research photos of interior and underhood. I'm going there hungry, taking the puppy with a full bladder everything i need to keep me out of the sales office.
  9. There is an idea for saving a junk broken up trailer I have. Thanks it looks good.
  10. of course I'll be interested in seeing a single cab, an extended cab, a dually bed, a 5th wheel hitch(already out there) Everybody is freaking out about the price on this kit but many of us have found it deeply discounted and I'm sure it will continue to be the case.
  11. Crossing my fingers that their next offering will be a 1/24 scale civilian version Cat D9 Dozer from the tooling of their 1/35 scale military one. The Ford F350 wold look right at home along side as a crew boss truck. I hope my Fords will be here next week they have been marked as shipped from Easy Hobby.
  12. Wow how long have you been in the Rivet Counter Club incredible. Bowtienutz approved!!!!!!
  13. I have Motor City N 600 It's nice. I was talking about a different truck a "F" series cab that Dan models cast
  14. Good luck with your project Bob I've seen someone on the East coast built one. It was killer I've seen it at NNL East and the CPMCC September showdown I never did find out who the builder was. maybe they will see your post and and some pictures to help you out. Good luck with your project. The Fire truck frame looks like a good (easy) place to start. You can find some more pictures of Ivo's hauler here on my Fotki site. http://public.fotki.com/VincePutt/semi_truck_shows_/dodge-race-car-haulers/page2.html
  15. looks like another vintage resin disappointment. I tried to order months ago one of those Ford F650 cabs from Dan's models on Ebay along with the Frame for his 950 to create a replicate a cement mixer my father drove. Unfortunately it never arrived. I was lucky that Ebay refunded my $250 even though it was long past the time of refund policy. Every time I find a vintage truck I like it slips through my hands. I'll be watching your post I hope your casting works out for you.
  16. Are you going to allow Art to join ? Just kidding I couldn't resist
  17. nice to see you back at it, Scott It's been a while. Nice project. You haven't missed a beat.
  18. I'm sorry I'm still confused are you doing this because the the resin body was not accurate? Are you building a different version of year model or something other than original casting requiring you to make the mods. The reason I ask is I'd like to get one of these cabs and was wondering if it was worth the money.
  19. Was the Frontier Resin Kit that far off ? or are you building a different version of the truck ?
  20. Justin I'm going to to miss the show. I wish you best of luck. I really wanted to go , just not going to work out at the last minute.
  21. Another nice Mustang build. I can't wait to get one. Who makes the Italian olive for the undercarriage.
  22. Nice build. Great Sigline! Positive outlook! Go Young Man
