  1. Are you coming to NNL East? Will you have catalogs at NNL East? I'm a bit tapped out out right now, I've done all my shopping , Via preorders at vendors with working websites like Scale models by Chris, and Motor City Resin, Modelhaus, I avoid ebay sorry, Kevin. I only see you have 4 products listed. Until a week ago I couldn't even even see those, I thought you had more stuff. Are you dropping products?
  2. Nice work Fred, Bowtienutz approved Looking forward to seeing an all out interior and trunk detail. Keep it up you are doing Great!!!!
  3. or a Carson type top from a regular kit?
  4. Andy that's Pretty Cool. is That the AMT kit? The RIM conversions does not have the cowl vent, the Soft top, or door hinge details, I like the dark green paint. I'm looking for some formal colors
  5. I purchased a Replica in Miniatures 32 Ford Vicky. I think the Vicky is the prettiest 32 Ford produced. I planning on building it very traditional on the outside with a stock body, full fenders, maybe some nice wire wheels if I can find some. I have a aftermarket Jag rear that I've been saving for a special project that I've finally found. I'm thinking a small block Ford with Weber carbs. I'm really stuck on paint color. I see very few Vicky's built, Let's see yours, give me some paint ideas and help me with some good looking big and little wire wheels something that would look like "appliance" brand wheels. Thanks
  6. Pavel, another excellent build I never grow tired of looking at your work!
  7. I ordered mine from the website jeff mentioned I was very pleased nice product. big thumbs up
  8. Disregard my previous post I caught up my emails on the SLM list, and I see that Terry is only the temporary holder of the diorama. Phil has other plans for it. I'll keep my nose out it once again. I never opened my mouth in all these years not sure why I did now. My apologies.
  9. I'm glad that Terry has become the caretaker of the the project it has always been the hope and plan that it could end up in a museum. Over the years the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing has taken a keen interest drag racing and model cars. This museum is free to to the public operates on donations drag racing fans that go to the York us 30 muslecar madness get a limo ride to museum.
  10. Detailed gauges are best done by a photo etched panel, a clear resin cast gauge with a led installed, a clear decaled gauge face, a photo etched needle and a clear gauge face and a photo etched ring. assembling by painting the outside of the gauge black or silver the face of the gauge the color you want the gauge to light up. install the decal, then the needle, mount it in panel, install the gauge face & ring,. How about Fax LCD gauge faces we need some double cut screw type terminal blocks so we have a clean way to attach wires. How about doing updated computer and ignition packs , either just the detailed face, double etched or a foldable box. we could also use holders for N02 bottles and firebottles.
  11. Coming from someone who is disabled and can't work anymore I wish you the very best of luck in getting your dream job.
  12. Does this work Woo Hoo I think I got Thank You OH So Much Casey You are my HERO! I've never been able to figure this out. Thank you for sticking with this old dog and teaching him a new (old) trick !!!!!
  13. I still feel the problem in today's kits are minor compared to what we had to deal with in years past. I wish I was 30 or 40 years younger to be a modeler and to enjoy all the aftermarket stuff that is available today and learn from all of us guys (my age) that are dying off and who's collections are available for a song. You can't deny that every thing that a manufacturer does is a based on a budget and a timeline. What an engineer has to say gets overruled by an bean counter as a former engineer I will bet my last dollar on that. I do wish you would lock this post I think it has proved it's point and run it's course. Sorry Harry. But I don't see what the point of it is. Hey Luc, I'm have double vision since my assualt causing a kind of blindness so I use a font and a size that appeals to me sorry for the funky font I thought it looked good I hope this is better.
  14. Quit complaining and fix the little problems, After all you are modeler. The kits today are far superior to what was available in decades past if you can't fix it donate them to the boy scouts like it was pointed out on the first page of this topic. Harry if your so good at this why aren't you working for the manufacturers? Get a job as a consultant. Offer to build test shots. Your a moderator why do you start such topics that you know will start a #%&* storm? I guess I'll get 1 warning point for this this post.

  19. Nice Work Johnathan, I just picked up a Aoshima kit of a stock Scion with engine, and left hand drive it looks like a nice kit.I was wondering if there was any conversion parts to turbocharge this little pocket rocket. I'm not much up on the import thing. I'm more into muscle cars and drag. This car excites me. Would parts from the Revell Subaru WRX work?
  20. Chevy truck of that vintage are readily available at swap meets for 20 bucks US they are with the 72 grille can't remember what the 69 grille looks like. But I'm sure you can get the grille from modelhaus if you really want to nitpick and want a 69.
  21. Kevin Fix your Website please so we can preorder stuff hopefully in time for nnl east or at least give you gas money.
  22. Looks pretty good to me, Hey if your use to restoring cars that don't have a lot of exposed parts to snag stuff on while your handling it I can understand your frustration. Trucks have parts everywhere and require different handling. You need a car hauler to put your built restorations on behind your Lonstar.
  23. Excellent When you get a builders choice award You nailed it! That means that's the one everyone wants to take home with them.
  24. I'm away from my home office and rattling my brain the supplier I'm thinking about makes structual shapes, It's not evergreen or plastictuct. They also make people and scale scale brick etc. can someone name them for me please.
  25. I really like your build sometimes the resin stuff you buy on ebay is so IFFY you want to throw it away, cancel your paypal account and confess to your wife all your sins and misgiving
