  1. Yeah, all I can think of..the Johan '77-79 promos had non-wire style wheel covers IIRC.
  2. Haven’t thought about doing a swap on one of mine, but the chassis, engine, etc from a ‘72 GTO should work.
  3. Diolex in Ukraine casts some they sell on eBay. I have a couple sets to use on '80s Cadillacs. They advertise them as '73-76 style, but they seem close to the 80s style. https://www.ebay.com/itm/255893200297?hash=item3b946c5da9:g:QfIAAOSwkWVjk1nJ
  4. Sharp build...love those '70s-80s MPC pickups.
  5. Impressive craftsmanship..been following since the beginning.
  6. Got two of them today, they look good. 4 choices for wheelcovers/wheels, 10 tires, etc.
  7. AMT did a variety of promos of unusual subjects in the early 50s, don't think it was until '58 that they had what we think of as regular annual kits? I've seen a few of the early 50s promos like this Pontiac in antique stores, usually warpey and pricey.
  8. Looking forward to seeing him in concert..he doesn't tour often. I saw him last about 20 years ago. I have a busy year of concerts to attend, should be a lot of fun...planning to see Bruce Springsteen, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, The Cure and Santana also this year.
  9. Neat...that's my old neighborhood. Lived about a mile from the Biltmore and would frequently shop/dine along Camelback there. Lots of nice cars around there.
  10. Nice selection of kits.. my late brother had a 1:1 Honda CB750F in his cycle collection. Sharp bike.
  11. Looking forward to seeing them in person...just got a shipment notice on my two that I'd preordered from Model Roundup.
  12. I see in that list above the stock '59 Cadillac ambulance that had previously been speculated on. Nice
  13. Had to say goodbye to Henry yesterday. He's always been a good boy. He had a good life in Arizona and Ohio, had just turned 17 and his health had been declining for quite a while. Here's a pic from a couple years ago when he was healthy.
  14. Must be extra taxes or duties.. w/ the exchange rate, $60 CDN is 43.63 USD, which would be high in the US.
  15. I am surprised they haven't given the '66 the Retro Deluxe treatment yet...been quite a while since the '66 ht or convertible have been reissued.
  16. Found this article, shows the quarter window style of the yellow one as an option.. those headlight covers also in one pic...seems like a lot of variations The 1969 Gazelle / Amante GT (Hebina Plastics / Voegele Industries) | Undiscovered Classics
  17. Looks a lot like this...different quarter window shape, but the door, door window opening, profile is very similar...
  18. Post or no post.. the thread continues.
  19. Played the game, we did.
  20. No idea, but the hobby seems to be thriving in my view.. a lot going on...
  21. Over the last 25 years, I've been able to pretty much find most everything that I might consider a grail. Still have a list of old kits that I wouldn't mind acquiring, mostly Johan late 60s AMCs, a few early 70s MPCs.
  22. Neat..wondered about that..I have a builtup '60 Thunderbird convertible that was missing the engine (and other parts)...I think I put a parts box 390 in it years ago...have a '60 Buick ht (engine missing) and a rough '60 Ford F100 (has the original engine).
  23. Never seen one of the early SMP/AMT Corvette kits..did the '60 Corvette annual have an engine or was that added later?
  24. Those early 80s boxes with the bathroom tile are so dull…
