  1. There are probably some rare oldies in here, two deep in the closet and on the shelves. Some newer kits mixed in.
  2. Through, over or around life's obstacles..keep moving forward.
  3. Since turning 55 in June I've been feeling my age.. mentally still feel 25 but physically I have room for improvement...been working w/ my doctor.
  4. Not really into the matte and 'frozen' finishes that have been trendy in recent years either..I like shiny.
  5. Also, some of their kits are old ESCI kits originally..like the 70s Mercedes SLC and G-wagen and older Land Rovers..
  6. If I had a daily commute something like a Mach-E would work for me...though I do like the Cadillac Lyriq and Vistiq...may take one of those for a test drive when I take my CT6 in for service. Though I really want a CT5-V Blackwing.
  7. In the olden days, pickup trucks could also haul a 4x8 w/ the tailgate shut...but the vast majority of pickups today have short 5.5 or 6 ft beds..
  8. I've read that the Mach-E is the best selling Mustang variation...Ford has cut back truck EV production as those were duds in the marketplace.
  9. I like that...though Zeus Bronze is my favorite C8 color.
  10. I've seen Broncos and Bronco Sports in a similar color w/ white grille, white wheels and roof and I like the look..
  11. As with most modern vehicles, there is nothing interesting to see under the hood. Leave it to the dealer to mess with. So in 1/25th or 1/24th a curbside kit is fine by me.
  12. I like that Chevy green, a Corvette would look good in it...better that awful battleship gray that is so popular, or the usual silver, black and white...
  13. I guess they did that so in a year or so they can release a stock Cyclone version with the stock hood...
  14. The AW Sport Fury diecast is sweet...I have it in all 3 colors. Would love to see one in 1/25th.
  15. Actually, the '72 Duster kit is based on the MPC '71 Demon 'new tool' from last year (which is designed like the old MPC Demon/Duster tooling).
  16. On my afternoon walk saw the orange ‘68 Charger again. Looks clean and straight, side marker lights removed.
  17. Speaking of DeLoreans, I saw a bright red one a few years ago on I-40 in New Mexico. Don't know if was painted or a wrap.
  18. Sweet...I was in Myrtle Beach just as Mustang Week was wrapping up last year, saw a lot of sharp cars. But in my Cadillac, my '87 Mustang GT was home in Ohio.
  19. I’ve been playing around with Copilot and Gemini AI at work, we have a corporate initiative to use it on all new projects, so far I’m skeptical but I’m learning how to use it.
  20. Forgot about this, but in traffic on Friday saw a white RHD Honda Today. Tiny car, looks like a shrunken 90s Civic in profile. Like this:
  21. Hmmm..either it was very rusty underneath and split naturally or when someone tried moving it, or when it was still driveable someone was playing Dukes of Hazzard...
  22. I remember hearing about it on the CBS Evening News (I was 9 in 1979), don't recall lines at the gas station but my Dad did mention about the cost going up...probably took a lot to fill his '79 Lincoln Continental and my Mom's '77 Thunderbird then.
  23. Looking at the Pro Touring chassis and suspension and thinking about what other kits I could use it under... maybe a first gen Mustang--since the Mustang has Falcon/Comet roots IRL but with a 6 inch shorter wheelbase. Maybe the Monogram 1/24th '65/66 Mustang would be the least work..need to dig one out of my stash. I compared it with the AMT '66 and '67 Mustangs (1/25th), the chassis would have to be narrowed considerably and the wheelbase shortened to fit.
  24. Got mine recently, nice kit.
