Nice pics, thanks for sharing. It was a nice show, picked up a few items at the vendor tables.

The new Charger
Rob Hall replied to Jon Haigwood's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It's a good looking car in person, but wow it's heavy. It's about the same length as the classic '68-70 Charger. -
Got a resin teardrop '64 Comet hood from SMH today in the mail, figure it's made for the AMT '64, but it does fit the new Moebius Comet pretty well.

Moebius 1/25 1964 Mercury Comet K-code
Rob Hall replied to Justin Porter's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Yeah, I looked at both my Pro-Touring and K-code versions and the script is so faint it just looks like a series of vertical bars. Can't read it without a magnifying glass. -
Chrysler definitely had some interesting colors back then. My favorites are the more subtle colors like F8 Green, Winchester Gray, and this burnt orange (not sure what it was called).

When I first moved back to Ohio from AZ, I was working remotely for my Arizona client and had two clocks in my home office, one on EST and one on AZ time. Still, whenever the time changed I'd have issues w/ being an hour too early or an hour too late for meetings.

I don’t like getting up in the dark, so daylight at 7am is preferred, but I don’t like it getting dark so early. 5pm after work and it’s dark in the winter.

I've kept my Jeeps over the years washed and waxed, even though I did a fair bit of off roading in Colorado and Arizona with the '00. Even with 170k miles, my '00 Grand Cherokee was still presentable when I traded it on the '14 Grand Cherokee I have now. The '14 had 25k when I bought in '17, has 82k now. The '14 I bought in Arizona right before I moved back to Ohio.

What was the hardest or the coolest job u ever had or have?
Rob Hall replied to NYLIBUD's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
My jobs have all been software engineering/computer programmer positions after college and grad school (during college worked part time at the campus bookstore for 2 years and as a junior sys admin for the Computer Science department for 2 years, taught college algebra, calculus and intro computer programming classes in grad school). Almost 30 years in the tech biz, many at startups and Fortune 50 companies, large and small. I've had a few jobs that started off promising but ended up miserable and exhausting...one at a startup in Colorado where I was underpaid and had a 120 mile commute daily and the people I worked with I loathed, another at a major bank in software development in Arizona w/ a 50 mile daily commute, 65-70 hr work week, horrible people to work with dysfunctional environment (3 people out of 12 had heart attacks in 6 months), and maybe the worst was a contract at a software company in Scottsdale, AZ where I worked 80-95 hrs a week for 2 months.. at least that was an hourly gig w/ 3 meals a day served and a good rate, but it aged me. Best might be my current job (work from home, high salary and great benefits, great team to work with) and a job I had in Denver in the 00s where I worked with a strong team culture and was a lot of fun (the company bar was walking distance from the office, we had team golf outings and hiking). -
Through, over or around life's obstacles..keep moving forward.

Thoughts and ideas that hold forever true..........
Rob Hall replied to JollySipper's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Since turning 55 in June I've been feeling my age.. mentally still feel 25 but physically I have room for improvement...been working w/ my doctor. -
Not really into the matte and 'frozen' finishes that have been trendy in recent years either..I like shiny.
-
Also, some of their kits are old ESCI kits originally..like the 70s Mercedes SLC and G-wagen and older Land Rovers..

If I had a daily commute something like a Mach-E would work for me...though I do like the Cadillac Lyriq and Vistiq...may take one of those for a test drive when I take my CT6 in for service. Though I really want a CT5-V Blackwing.
-
In the olden days, pickup trucks could also haul a 4x8 w/ the tailgate shut...but the vast majority of pickups today have short 5.5 or 6 ft beds..
-
I've read that the Mach-E is the best selling Mustang variation...Ford has cut back truck EV production as those were duds in the marketplace.
