  1. I know that, but that is the past..the modern car sold very well as a Charger. I remember all the people whining it should have been called a Coronet 20 years ago when the 05 first came out.
  2. I've never had a truck, but really like '80s-90s Fords (up through '96) and GMs--both the Rounded Line and GMT-400 generations. I really like 80s GM B- and C- bodies, though the engines were pretty low power and some troublesome. I'd love to have an '80s Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham or Buick Electra to tinker with.
  3. I'm set for a few days on groceries and dog food. It's not the snow, but the cold that I'm not looking forward to...low single digits the next 3 days. Snow coming down heavy now...got to roll out the trash bins later, don't want to go out in the morning when it's in the single digits..still low 20s now.
  4. Finding good skilled tradespeople can be challenging, though. As a college-educated home owner (software engineer) I appreciate people who know things about stuff, can do stuff and do it well, whatever the task is--stuff I can't do or don't have the time or skills to do. I know I'm not my father (he was a college-educated educator but was very handy with tools--woodworking, brake jobs, engine rebuilds, bee keeping, grapes and making wine, etc). I'm not great at DIY, and know that. I've had too many people flake out and not deliver or not want to take on a task (repairing/replacing sections of an existing fence, duct work, brick work, etc.) People that never return calls or never show up. Currently, I've got a great landscaper (mowing, snow removal, etc), a great local HVAC company that also does all things electrical and plumbing, a good mechanic I've worked with on my vintage Mustangs ( the only real downside is he's about 100 miles away). Once you find a good one, keep giving them business and hope they stay in business..
  5. Didn't really need it on the last 2 generations, since they had the Challenger.
  6. Went out to breakfast today before the weather gets icky, saw a new Charger out front of my local CDJR dealer..didn't realize the 2025s were on the lot yet. This one is a Daytona R/T 'Stage 1' according to the badging...in an understated dark blue..it's a clean design.
  7. Supposed to get some, a bit of Lake Effect snow this weekend then very cold early next week. Today was nice, 34 and sunny..had a bit of melting. Ran my Jeep through the car wash to get the salt off before the next round.
  8. There used to be a great hobby shop in Greeley that I used to visit 20+ years ago. Don't think I ever went looking for shops further north.
  9. 31 and sunny this afternoon. More snow coming Tuesday and later in the week. I have next Monday off, but it’s only supposed be 19 then. Typical Cleveland January, last year was milder because it was an El Niño year I think.
  10. About 25F today. A few inches of fresh snow over the old snow. I start my Mustang once a week, haven’t driven it in snow since I lived in Colorado over 25 years ago. Got it out for a while w/ my Caddy, Jeep lives outside…
  11. The original Fast and the Furious movie..
  12. Beautiful build..I love these cars in 1:1.
  13. Carlito’s Way IIRC. 20 years ago I had a coworker that would introduce himself as ‘Johnny Blanco from Queens’, which he was…riffing on the movie line.
  14. That looks sweet...definitely want one.
  15. Nice...I liked that show, I esp. liked all the 70s-80s Buicks and Olds full sizers in it.
  16. True, same as with probably 90% of gas SUVs.
  17. Yesterday was unseasonably mild for late December in NE Ohio..was sunny and 59 at one point. 57 and rain today. January supposed to arrive w/ more typical seasonable cold and snow.
  18. It's for turning tightly at low speeds...parking, off-roading on narrow trails, etc.
  19. The Monogram '59 kit came out in 1996, the '60 in 1998. It probably didn't make financial sense to retool completely, so some parts are shared.
  20. To build multiple versions or to use some for parts donors for other builds. Pretty normal.
  21. Or a in-progress home made camper build. Needs a tent
  22. As does the Lindberg/AMT ‘66 Chevelle. They also look good on AMT’s ‘67 Impalas. Didn’t some Mopar cars use these or something similar also?
  23. Beautiful...I built both of those kits as a kid in the 70s, my late father bought me the Cord kit as it was his dream car as a kid in the 30s. I recently bought a couple more of these kits, want to see if I can build them better now.
