  7. i worked behind a retail counter for many years, and i can tell you that customer service is just about dead. last place i worked, the young store manager was treating a raggedly dressed customer badly. i interupeted him and told him how wrong that was..he almost fired me. turns out the customer was a secret shopper. the manager got into all kinds of trouble, and so did i! turns out its agaisnt company policy to correct your superiors. oh well... i dont work there anymore...

  9. carefull with alumilite products at hobby lobby..i got several of the dyes and they were all dried up.
  10. funny you should mention it.. its all done! woulda been done earlier, but i had to pack up and move last month and im still trying to dig out from that. pics will be posted later today
  11. aluimilite is great stuff for the occasional caster. if your going to do more volume, smooth ons the way to go. with smooth on though, you will need more equipment to get quality results. pressure pots, vacuum chambers..them kinds of things

  16. john. i cast the 1/32 scale lincoln. it come with the body=2C hood=2C fron=t n rear bumpers=2C dash=2C red tailites and a vacuuformed from glass. it c=osts 25.00 plus 6.50 s&h. the 300 only needs engine/wheels/tires to finish.=is costs 60.00 plus 7.50 s&h. the 300 seat are cast into the tub.thanksjeff

  17. sad that the boatails were not done properly. my stepdad came here from romania in 1969. he got his first car in 71..a 69 riviera gs. he then bought his first brand new car. a 73 riviera. he gave me the 69 as my first car in 76.. those are two of my top five fav cars of all time.

  25. when i was younger myself, i had a friend whos younger brother showed a lot of interest in my models. i mentored him as best i could and he won a few contests. fast forward 30 yrs, i took my son to the high school drag day at the local strip. this grown man walks up to me and its the kid.. hes now the auto shop teacher at a local high school. he says he uses models to get his students enthused..what goes around comes around is a very true statment..
