  1. Thanks JC! Later-
  2. Got the paint started on one of the Revell Choppers. Got a bit to go on the paint work. Later-
  3. Thanks guys! Later-
  4. This morning I began the paint work. Started with a base coat of Model Master Plymouth Bright Platinum and covered that with Tamiya Mica Red. The plan is to shoot some clear over that, add decals and then a final coat of Tamiya clear Orange or clear Yellow. Later-
  5. Here is another custom chopper that I got as a started project. The OB did some nice custom work and I am excited to move forward on it. The OB added some nice turned aluminum pieces. Going to have to turn a second fuel tank cap since I could only find one. Later-
  6. So, obviously I have not updated this in a while. AL (Thatz4u) asked about this one this morning and I had to dig to find the link. I have been working on it between other builds. I'm at the BMF stage on the body but still have the interior and chassis to do. Slow progress. This one took a bit of a turn with the colors but the build will be a hot rod style. Later-
  7. Thanks. Added it to my cart. Later-
  8. Thanks Chaz, Carl and David. Later-
  9. Got the custom front end pieces for the AMT 65 Impala in a trade today. I.like that idea. I'll have to order some for myself once I get my lathe and mill up and running. Later-
  10. Just received my parts from VW93! Great transaction! Thanks. Later-
  11. Thanks guys. My guess on the one being a Tbird sounds right. The other I would not have known it was for a falcon. Great! Thanks. Later-
  12. People ditching them for what they can get before the kit is available. Sounds normal. Later-
  13. Thanks Mike. Later-
  14. Thanks for the info. I'll give that a try. I have a lowrider 41 Chevy pickup that I am stopped on because I need to practice my painting techniques. Later-
  15. Dug through the paint cabinet this morning and came up with this Testors blue. Sprayed a first coat. I'll wet sand this smooth and get another couple of coats on it tomorrow. Later-
  16. Man, your work is amazing and the sequence of photos is very helpful. I am surprised that you don't seem to have any build up in the paint like I always got by using spray cans. They tend to throw a lot of paint. Yours looks extremely smooth. How do you manage not to have build up between the layers? I appreciate your style of builds. I'd love to see more lorries on this site. Keep them coming. Later-
  17. Looks good Mike. One of my favorite kits as far as looks. The chassis swap is a nice one. I just put a first coat of paint on my AMT 57 Chevy so I'll be watching this build of its older brother. Later-
  18. Great subject and an amazing build. I like that you opened it up. I would love to find one of these to build. Any info you can provide on the maker would be great. Later-
  19. Can anyone identify which kit these two interior buckets come from? Thanks in advance. Later-
  20. That looks beautiful Tom! I got the 69 GTO and the 60 Buick Invicta wet sanded and a final coat of clear on the GTO. Later-
  21. Found this in one of the Chopper boxes. Whoever had these before did some serious customizing! Later-
  22. Got three more parts kits (makes 6 total) of the Revell Choppers given to me. These ones have the frames, at least. Now I don't have to scratch build a frame. Also got this Ferrari 512S given to me by the same guy. Sealed inside. Looks like a great kit. Later-
  23. Got the decals this weekend from Sam I Am (thanks buddy) and got them installed today. Had to cut them up to get a decent length so they are not perfect. A dab of black paint inside each hoodscoop and some panel line accent in the hood vent. Next is a good wipedown of prints and setting solution spots then more Clearcoat. Later-
  24. Sweet looking mods you've made to this. I really like the transverse mounted engine too. I think I have found my color for my Revell Chopper too! Later-
  25. I have the same issue. I got the decals this weekend for my 69 GTO and a set of stock front seats for my 63 Mercury Meteor. So, come Monday it is back to work on getting those finished up. Then, as most of you saw, I got a huge stash of stuff that had a 57 Chevy and a Revell Chopper that are both calling to me to be finished. Waiting for paint to dry or parts to arrive in the mail is usually what allows the squirrels access to my hobby area and cause all kinds of happy havoc! Later-
