  1. I usually play music from YouTube. Can get a wide variety of music that way. Usually classic rock or blues. Some times I get on an odd kick and play something strange (Yaz, Alison Moyet, Cigarettes After Sex, Imelda May, etc) Later-
  2. He mentioned to me a few times over the years about a top fuel car he built for one of the famous drivers. A picture of him with it was included in one of the early Plastic Fanatics mags (I believe). He also used to do slush cast bodies. Later-
  3. You knew Mike? He definitely had some talent. I don't recall ever hearing him talk about Tomcat Hobbies. Later-
  4. I'm not sure if anybody here knew Mike Flynn. He worked in the past at Pegasus Hobbies in California. He had resided in Spokane, Wa for the last decade or so. He passed early Thursday, May 13th of Renal failure. I had the amazing privilege of calling him Friend since meeting him in 2007. Mike was an outstanding model builder and a very generous and warm-hearted man. I will miss him terribly! Many of the parts and kits I have were freely given to me by Mike. His knowledge of kit parts and many things drag and hot rod related were shared with me. I have been given the chance to go through Mike's things and sell off what I can for Dorothy. It will be a monumental task but one I look forward to, if for no other reason than to reminisce. I LOVE you Buddy!! Later-
  5. Got this tonight. Looks like enough parts for the 36' and 44' trailers. Also got this started belly tanker project. Later-
  6. Nicely done! Love the sporty look. So, how much is that you removed off of each end? Later-
  7. Thank you! Really good call on the chrome brake disc. Don't know why I didn't think of it. I'll have to see if I can get a brush in there. I'll definitely change that on my next one. Later-
  8. With all the hype of the rare Cuda up for auction I was thinking of building a Cuda in the GA4 Winchester Gray Metallic and was wondering if anybody knows of a comparable readily available spray can or craft acrylic paint that would closely approximate it. Not really looking to have to go to a paint mixing shop but I'd be willing to hear your thoughts on something you have used. Later-
  9. Now that I finished my other chopper and enjoyed it so much I am going to start on this one. My plan is either a candy marbled green or candy marbled blue paint job. Stay tuned for progress! Later-
  10. I was thinking "What a great looking build!". Then to find out it is 1/35!! Amazing job!! It looks fantastic. Thanks for posting it. Later-
  11. Thank you guys for such kind comments! I appreciate it. Later-
  12. Thanks Fellas! Thanks Jim. I don't believe I need any more unless it would be another frame or tires. I managed to get 7 parts kits that included 3 frames and 3 sets of tires. Later-
  13. I finished my Revell Kustom Chopper today and posted it in Under Glass "All the Rest" (check it out). Now I am sorting through about 5 gallon bags full of parts to separate them as to what busted up built kit they go to......fun! Later-
  14. I bought this as a started project and never having owned a motorcycle or having built a kit I tried my best to figure out how it went together. The previous builder customized the frame and added some turned aluminum parts. I did a custom paint job using three color layers and decals between the second and third. I also airbrushed many of the parts with Molotow Chrome. I made the lip for the front fender to match the rear and made the seat. I really like how low this bike sits and the overall look. One of the pics includes a stock kit frame for comparison. I hope you.like it and I am looking forward to finishing the second customized one I got. Later-
  15. Thanks! Finished and moved to Under Glass. Check it out there for more pics. Later-
  16. Gorgeous build Nigel. It and the Celica. Later-
  17. Ooooh! I'm liking this!! Keep it up. Later-
  18. Nigel, That's looking killer! The body color and stance are perfect and I really like the bronze added to the wheel centers. That will set it off just right. Great work, as usual. Later-
  19. You've got a nice smooth primer layer going on. Your door lines look great! I like the look of the 1:1 you posted too. I'll be watching for your progress. Later-
  20. Been working a bit on this one during some of my stints at the bench. I cleaned up.the seams on the engine block and airbrushed it with Molotow. Then I hit it with some panel line accent. I had to slightly modify the location of the alternator due to the custom frame brace. Got the wheels and brake discs mounted and the chain hit with some paint to de-chrome it. Tomorrow will be adding the belt and cover. I'm really liking the look of this one. I'm thinking of doing a candy green with marble effect on my second one. Later-
  21. I thought it looked familiar but I didn't really recognize it without chrome. Later-
