  1. I was looking for a 66 Wildcat and mentioned it to a buddy last night. He dug this out and we made a deal. I'm just going to cut the jagged edge into a square, cut and bend a bit of styrene, glue it in place, sand and fill and paint like normal. Shouldn't be difficult. Later-
  2. Yesterday's acquisitions. Couldn't find the Hugger Orange paint I wanted but picked up a few other cans. Got the kits from a local guy. The two on the left are parts kits. The 4 on the right are complete/unstated. A rebuilder 65 Buick Wildcat. Then I got this from him. A complete Model Car World 53 Olds 88. Got plans for a mild custom with this one. Later-
  3. That I an excellent kit for a snap together. It has a few mold lines that need work but a beautiful pickup can be built from it. I painted mine in Tamiya Mica Red. Later-
  4. Simply stunning work! Later-

  6. That is a beautiful paint job. You look like you still have it after all these years and it is a wonderful tribute to your friend. What colors of gold and green did you use? Later-

  8. Thanks Sam. Trying hard to bring a couple back to life. Later-
  9. Tonight I finished doing the basic clean up of this 59 Buick. Lots of road rash on it. I'll prime it in the morning to see where I'm at. I also started scratch uildi g the nose of this 62 Pontiac. Still got a bit to do on it too. Later-

  11. I started the BMF on my 63 Mercury Meteor today. Later-
  12. Getting quite a bit done today. Got the gold painted on the Mercury, taped off the body and painted a couple of coats of Root beer on the roof. Got a couple of boogers to sand out and repaint. Pulled these three bodies out of the Pond this morning that was soaking all weekend. The Impala looks good. The 58 Ford looks good but had at least 6 different colors of paint on it. The 49 Ford had a couple of coats come off but still has at least 3 different colors on it! Later-
  13. Sadly, no. I should dig this back out and get to work on it. I like the way it was looking. Later-
  14. Spent some time today spraying and stripping paint. Sprayed a bit of color on my 63 Mercury Meteor. Taking a bit to get a smooth coat. Had to do a couple of rounds of wet sanding. Yesterday I started the paint stripping process in the Purple Pond of the rebuilder 59 Impala, 58 Ford and 49 Ford. After 24 hrs of soaking and a couple rounds of scrubbing I got almost all of the black paint off of the 59 Impala, half of the 6!!! coats of paint off of the 58 Ford (black, gold, maroon, green, orange and purple!). The paint on the 49 Ford hasn't really budged at all. I'm letting them soak all weekend and we will try again Monday. Later-
  15. I received my end of a trade with 1st 700 Quad (Steven). Arrived quickly in great shape! Thanks Buddy! Later-

  22. Thanks guys! I sure would like to know who the OB was. Would be nice to pickhis brain about a few of his builds and let him know that they are being appreciated. I'll be posting pics this morning when I unpack them. David- the interior cloth held on just fine. I didn't wash it because I wasn't sure how it would hold up. I just took a damp toothbrush to it. It didn't manage to get all of the dirt off but a majority of it did. You can kind of see the results in this photo. Later-
