  1. I finally got my order after 13 months.......
  2. For LED's there are some that measure 1 x 1.5mm and are available in "golden" or "sunny" white colors to replicate an incandescant bulb. Try looking at Mouser or Digikey for the exact specs.
  3. Here are a couple of mine. Ford Hy Ranger platform. Everything from the rear of the cab back is scratchbuilt. Mack MR 100' Mid mount aerial truck Mack MR Bronto platform. And for something different...a 1/87th (HO Scale) GP40TC locomotive.
  4. Yup they liked to rust. I have carried a Scout body thru a 30" wide door! Interesting pic, since there is a Traveller in the back ground.
  5. Ih actually did the reverse. They made the Transtar from the Cargostar!
  6. With help from Jerry, a couple of similar projects have appeared on my bench......... Yup, a couple more Internationals...... The plan is to have the 4 variations of truck that shared cab stampings. The first is a CO Loadstar, then a Cargostar A, a Cargostar B, and finally a CO5370 (cab over Paystar) Here is the first major step on the first one. Next I cut the back of the cab off, and removed almost 3/4 of an inch. Then I started to build the side windows. On my original Cargostar, I used the kit sleeper side, and reversed them side to side to keep the front edge vertical, and and the rear sloping. On these, I'm going to fab it all for a better look. Got the majority of the work done on the CO Loadstar cab. Still have to modify the lower rear wall. Here is the CO Loadstar next to the Cargostar A And a shot to show the differences in widths of the cabs.
  7. If anyone is interested, I broke into a sealed kit, and now have the grill in question available.
  8. Did he work at a IH dealer? There is a Scout Terra in the back ground of the first picture
  9. Looks good Dave! good to see you back building!
  10. Thank you! Glad you like it!!
  11. We have used them without too much problem. Something to think about is that depending where they ship from you may have tax, duty, and brokerage on your order when it crosses the border. If they ship UPS, their brokerage charges can be outrageous. Your local dealer may have to order it, but I bet there won't be any shipping.
  12. The Paystar, 4300, 2575, 2674 all have V800's. The original 4200 has a V903 Cummins, and the CO4070A was a DD
  13. Detail wise, no. Just shorten them to fit in the cab.
  14. The Transtar II was reissued 10 plus years ago, so the tooling still exists
  15. As I was finishing up the 9400 hood, I started on a 9900 hood
  16. The 4300 would be the best. You need the floor, and some of the interior parts. The daycab was first to be finished, a 72" mid rise Prosleeper is next.
  17. Well...... Its DONE!!! ;D Not shown, but included, is a vacuumformed windshield. If anyone is interested in one, drop me a pm.
  18. Try a basement full of IH truck toys and stuff......all scales! I think I'm up to 20 or so 30 gallon size totes.......
