  1. The detail here is just plain beautiful!
  2. That Chris Craft I built about 12 was never armored enough to survive the enemy in the skies over the pond.
  3. That interior just yells to "look at me!". This all looks grand!
  4. Maybe a link would help everyone to see this?
  5. This was posted on another model site but I found it's potential very interesting. It was posted by DSM pHrEaK on the Automotive forums. Here's is his brief explanation: "It is a new website that allows users to dismantle various manufacturer's engines in a virtual environment. Think of it like playing a video game where you dismantle an engine, and it tells you what everything is as you take it apart! I've also been told that they're going to be putting part numbers into the games as well so whenever a user hovers over the part, they'll get what the part is called and the factory part number!" the website is: You Torque You will have to install a 3D addon called Burster which enables the 3D in your browser. It only has a Chevy 350 SMB currently but it's a pretty new site. Would be nice if you could add the parts back on but it only allows you to click and remove parts and rotate your view .. and zoom in. An interesting concept none the less.
  6. An easy question for me since I've only completed one build in the past 10 years! They all sit in front of me on a shelf above the computer in plastic cases .. I hate dusting! But, I'm sure many down in the shop are ALMOST complete! ... really !
  7. Most likely not American made molds anyway!
  8. Really like that paint color. I was looking for a dark maroon for the '32 I'm working and this one looks perfect. Guess I should have shopped some new car paints.
  9. No motor! Now that's a new take on something with a magnificent mill! I like those wheels and Dudek pipes are SO right!
  10. Some good looking parts there. Nice to see the 4x4 pieces. And finally, someone that puts large photos up to see what you're buying!
  11. Don't they all! The steering and linkage looks good! .. the whole thing does too!
  12. I'm ok with it ... letting it dry today and I'll fix it. I think it was saying 'you should have used some brass strips behind it the first 3 times you patched it there!'
  13. Ah, wow! ... we could be twins! ehheh Two 924 turbos and 3 944's here. I thought they were made just for me. I have to give the 944's their suspension .. one of the best ever! But the G35's horsepower and interior shamed the Porsches. And the Brembo's were a fair match for the Porsche brakes. Now, with all this discussion going on here, are you going to give us a shot of the Q's front and rear ends, Chuck?
  14. Sandy didn't do any damage overnight but Storm Foxer was full force . I was on 2nd coat to finish and hadn't taped the coat hanger to the body .. dumb, dumb dumb! Looks like the body hit the left front corner, the site of 4 previous breaks, when it hit the concrete floor. There was a lot of dust bunnies that had to be wiped off with thinner also. Back to the body shop and some brass strips looks like.
  15. I like your priorities ... beer, TV and fishing! Hope you're restored soon.
  16. Yes ... It was the 2nd car off the 350 platform. They lengthened it 8" and tuned the suspension for a little better ride. There's much goodness in that new platform and they definitely got their money out of it. The G35 did very well replacing the 5 Porsches I had before it!
  17. Yeah .. but what you can see is well done. Detail on the suspension and bottoms of everything is good. Typical Japanese .. what you see is what you get.
  18. This morning it's pretty calm and not much damage in the yard .. just small branches. Looks like the coastal areas .. CT, MA and RI got the worst with New Jersey taking the brunt of it. My son in NJ says it's a bit wet there and the beach is downtown shopping.
  19. That's what I love most about doing worn old cars. Someday someone will take this and fix it up! Really good job on this.
  20. This is the kit by Fujami I'm making my G35 from. It's a Japan only kit and is the hometown Nissan Skyline 350GT coupe. It needs Infiniti logos and a left hand dash. I also have an Infiniti J30t by Aoshima. It's a Japan market kit also. It had PE Infiniti logos which I got the kit for. It's a pretty good looking car for a pre-G35 Infiniti! I've been tempted to patch the back end to a '49 Merc! I know the G37 hasn't been kitted as that's my current 1:1.
  21. I'm afraid I never took any photos as I was building the 944. I assume you've seen the Under Glass of it, but I put a link anyway. There are no non-turbo 944 kits. It's mostly the intake plumbing that needs to be built and my explanation is all I have. I'd be happy to answer any question you have, though. Just PM me about anything. And .. not a hijack .. since they're both mine!
  22. I did ... it's washed and sitting in front of me waiting for some paint tomorrow! You DID inspire me, Chuck, with your Infiniti. Will be my 2nd attempt for a glossy black on it.
  23. I saw that WV had SNOW from the storm ... we're basking in temps in the 60's up north!
  24. ... those ARE pretty ugly door handles.
  25. Now, THAT'S eye candy! Thanks, Simon.
