  1. Hope all yas with trees down already are doing ok! I'm in the Berkshires of Massachusetts and we're sticking up highest in front of the winds coming from the southeast.. I'm on North Mountain but on the other side the winds are hitting. They've been pretty strong since afternoon and I've heard reports of 70mph gusts in Pittsfield. I am amazed at the sound of the wind coming from the top of the mountain (really just a hill) .. it's sounds like a jet ready to appear over the crest .. amazing roar. So far we're lucky with just a few branches in the yard and power still going. Hardly any rain to speak of. Sandy has disappeared as the real threat is the huge Nor'easter she merged with!
  2. Amazing! That's the way it used to be done before plastic! You're doing it justice ... nice work!
  3. 40 is the prime of life!
  4. So nice to see an Infiniti being built ... I should get back to mine. I'm curious if this kit has and PH logos in it ... ?
  5. I'm amazed how short the fins make it look ... I DO like it!
  6. Welcome, Chris. Some nicely done wear and tear on that Chevy.
  7. Beautiful work!
  8. I don't know how I've missed this but it sure was fun and interesting following through this build! So many cool tidbits..

    49 ford

Beginning as one of the best looking 49 Fords I've seen!
  10. Very nice job on that !!! .. whew, as he lets out a breath!
  11. Reminds me ... better go down and check the mail. That is an exquisite job there .. !!
  12. Yeah for another Right Coaster! Even though the unchopped top is a sign of whats called East Coast Rod, most of our '49 Mercs are LOW! My current build is so also. Gonna be watching this to see how it comes together.
  13. I've overcome my embarrassment shopping the cosmetics area for those and other modeling supplies. Plus, the customer base is much more pleasant looking than in the hardware department.
  14. This is probably more worn than you were looking for, bu tit's worn none the less. It's just a few coatings of Sophisticated Finishes rust. I really how this does a well used exhaust.
  15. This is pretty minor but it's my last primer check after all the little bodywork things were cleaned up ... lower hood rear edges meet the body better, grill touches ( a few areas need some sanding yet from the photos), just the top front of doors need scribing now. The wheels haven't been on for awhile and I fit the engine after these photos. The oil pan hits the road so it needs to be shimmed up little by little. First I need to get a new 3/64 drill bit that fits the engine mount pins. Getting the final fit on the engine all around and all the accessories inside that hood will take a bit of work and my next task. It sure looks mean straight on ..
  16. Very nice .. that interior color I love .. not to mention the fantastic paint job!
  17. It'll be interesting watching this one.
  18. That's a good start on the body graphics ... the potential is oozing from that!
  19. That is detail! That exhaust manifold is beautiful like no exhaust manifold deserves to be!
  20. There are things being done to AMC bodies in here that shouldn't be mentioned in polite company! And all are creative AND good looking!
  21. Welcome and don't sweat your building speed. That's what it's all about .. doing it your way. I have some in the works for 20 years and I think it's the building I like ... not the finishing it off so much.
  22. Good possibilities there
  23. My first car was a '51 Plymouth so I've had my eye out for some time. I found a resin '50 Plymouthand posted a thread with photos some time ago. This was an R&R Resin kit. I've considered what I had to do th emake this a '51 and using the front end off a '51 Chevy is the first step. It will take some work. I noticed while getting that link that Resin Realm offers a 1957 Dodge Royal Lancer 2dr Hardtop complete kit. I can't say anything about this one.
